@XVanFleet@tedlieu@spencerpratt I was officially a blue state, blue city Democrat until last year, and this was years beyond my tolerance for the direction the party had taken. Changing voter registration is something that's easy to let slide. I suspect that's the case for many registered Dems. #walkaway
The current generation isn't pathetic; they're historically illiterate and are being propagandized by our enemies abroad and those who parrot their lies at home.
Anyone who understands the history of Western civilization, our Republic, and our Constitution knows it's worth fighting for.
@CTCentinal It's going to be sad day for them when Trump leaves office. They're like the people who go stand outside the fence of Area 51 looking for flying saucers together. Afterwards, they go to a diner and talk about what they've seen. Then they meet up a short time later and... repeat.
@fem_mb This reads exactly like what people were saying about Trump in 2015, except that they didn't include any positive sentiments about their neighbors who were voting for him.
@rethaiard@uncle_authority@asatarbair Yeah, times have changed. No one was disappearing or eliminating either of your parents if they dared to oppose Canadian leadership, though. This hasn't changed to this day, from the time of the Soviet era to Putin's Russia.
@DanHollaway I generally despise vigilantism, but that is because I respect the framework of civic authority that is meant to serve and protect us all. When the authority abdicate this first-order priority, they invite vigilantism, and it makes people like me absolutely supportive of it.
.@GovPritzker , I supported this operation because identified criminals should not be freely operating in our communities. You clearly felt differently.
This operation was conducted in honor of my daughter Katie.
It was selective and limited in scope, and it did NOT have to look like this.
The chaos you now complain about is exactly what your sanctuary policies encouraged by blocking cooperation and forcing ICE into communities instead of allowing orderly enforcement.
As you likely donโt know, or worse, donโt care, Katie was killed because Illinois allowed an illegal immigrant with a horrendous background and serious health issues onto our roads and into our communities with zero meaningful guardrails.
Two people died, including Katie, and three others were injured.
You are a dangerous, irresponsible ideologue who prioritized politics over public safety.
And now Katie is in a grave because of it.
As a lifelong Illinoisan, Katie and the Bears should both still be here. Instead, families bury loved ones while iconic institutions flee the state your failed leadership helped create.
That reality will follow your legacy far longer than any political slogan.
@GovPritzker say her name. Katie.
@TJ_DarkRage@RepNancyMace It's wild that there needs to be any consideration for a constitutional carry law when the Constitution already grants the right to carry.
