There are wayyy too many people that think the Seahawks are an easy pick to regress this year...

It makes no sense to me. They have 90+% of their starters back, the defense might be even better, and the run game will be fine with the new depth.

There is not a single reason to think they won't be CLOSE to as good as last year.

@hawkmania4 @HamiHawk Yeah last year we didn’t get a good gage reading on Milroe’s skill set until preseason game action. There’s good reason to believe that year two in preseason play could be a level up year, which is the whole point of QB development.

Tory Horton was on the practice field for Day One. Healthy. After two surgeries in two years — one in college, one last year — that alone made my morning.
Here's what I keep coming back to: 6 touchdowns on 29 touches as a rookie. Every time they gave him the ball, something happened.
And that 4.41 at the combine? He ran it months after knee surgery — nobody even expected him to test. His first fully healthy stretch since college starts now.
Now put him in this offense: JSN drawing the doubles, Shaheed stretching everything deep.
Somebody's going to get single coverage all year.
It's him. 🦅

The Seahawks offensive line has an interesting pressure profile when comparing early downs to late downs.

Jalen Sundell was a problem on early downs and elite on late downs.

Teams attacked the right side of the line with Abe Lucas and Anthony Bradford late.

A few thoughts...

Play-action and the threat of run was far more prevalent on early downs, and made it harder for defenses to attack the passer.

Seattle were far more likely to use shotgun on late downs and Sam Darnold was not as effective there compared to being an elite under center QB.

Zabel and Cross were pretty steady early and late.

agree 100%. K-9, I loved his run game for big plays, but he wasn't great at pass routes and was too small to protect QB from LB blitzes.
