In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Si eres usuario de videojuegos digitales, me gustaría que recordaras siempre que el boicot contra de Sony no va contra ti.

PlayStation quiere imponer sus condiciones anti-consumidor a través del formato que usas, por eso, y vendernos licencias con fecha de caducidad al mismo precio que los juegos que siempre hemos comprado de nuestra propiedad.

Quiere centralizar los servicios en la PlayStation Store e inflar precios, encima de vendernos alquileres temporales. Todo esto usando el formato que has consumido hasta ahora.

Quieren eliminar costes de producción al completo y que solo haya beneficios para ellos, obviando las necesidades de la mitad de su fandom y despojándonos de todo derecho y opción sobre nuestros juegos. ¿Entiendes que la gente esté tan enfadada?

Sé que genera contrariedad ver a tanta gente quejarse del digital y es normal que uno se sienta desubicado siendo usuario de este formato pero mantén presente que es poque la empresa lo está usando como medio para despojarnos de derechos, opciones y el gaming como lo conocemos hoy en día.

Me gustaría mucho que entendieras que no existe guerra entre un formato y otro y que este boicot trata de devolvernos garantías tanto al físico como al digital, que aseguren que los juegos seguirán siendo nuestros y nadie nos los podrá quitar a placer.

Si no frenamos esto, cada cierto tiempo tendremos que comprar los juegos de nuevo a precios desorbitados porque con los cambios generacionales se van a cargar de un plumazo bibliotecas digitales enteras, como ya está sucediendo.

Defendemos el formato físico con tanto ahínco porque no está solamente en juego que dejen de vender juegos en tiendas o meros CiaB. También nos jugamos que filiales, retailers y miles de puestos de trabajo desaparezcan y no podemos permitir que porque unos cuantos CEOs quieran llenarse los bolsillos, eliminen y reescriban el gaming a placer.

Salvando al formato físico, salvamos toda la cadena, todo el mundillo gaming.

Esto no va solamente de un formato u otro, va de protegernos unos a otros, a nuestro hobbie, a quien trabaja en el sector y la forma en la que hemos vivido durante tantos años esta maravillosa cultura del entretenimiento virtual.

Pero la única forma que tenemos de parar la locura que están haciendo es darle a PlayStation donde más le duele, en el bolsillo. Solo de esta forma lograremos que lleguen sus reportes financieros y que se vea el descontento y las pérdidas por el maltrato, descuido y manipulación que ejercen con nosotros y si somos suficientes, sus accionistas no lo verán con buenos ojos, les abandonarán y tendrán que virar hacia un ecosistema que sí nos respete, al tener que recuperar toda la confianza perdida.

Para esto necesitamos todos tener conciencia social y dejar de mirar por nosotros mismos, si no por la industria que nos ha entretenido por tantos años y que ahora quieren moldear a placer tan vilmente.

Hoy puede que no se note pero si no hacemos nada, en muy poco tiempo habrán acabado con los videojuegos como los entendemos hoy en día.

Únete al boicot, compártele esta carta a quien la necesite y demostrémosle a Sony que somos mucho más que carteras andantes.

Time to sue Sony!

DoesItPlay? and @StopKilingGames are announcing that we're backing SM&C's (Stichting Massaschade & Consument) lawsuit against Sony over its total control of PlayStation Store pricing. We're putting our full weight behind SM&C's case, with the Dutch court.

@RinoTheBouncer I've been all digital since the start of the ps5 era... I accept what that meant and it was fine for me. Sony getting rid of Disks means I'll get hurt because they can definitely do what they want with their eco system. After this year when my ps plus expires im not coming back
