#Midwives are #overdue for #genderpayequity. Support midwives by letting the Ford government know that they need to stop wasting taxpayer dollars 💰💰💰fighting midwives in court⚖️⚖️. Send a postcard today to Premier Ford: https://t.co/PpauwXF7gA
An excellent decision addressing the gender pay gap for Ontario’s midwives. Congrats and thank you to @ontariomidwives for fighting for gender pay equity and for blazing a trail for all equity-seeking groups in Ontario. https://t.co/X40WlIMfhH
@DocSchmadia Due to the limitation that midwives can only bill for > 12 weeks care or attend delivery, many midwives do work for free. Have you heard of the Shelter Heath Midwives? The are on call, mobile and do incredible work for homeless pregnant people. They have never been paid in >8 yrs
@DocSchmadia A full time midwife is expected to care for 80 assigned clients and their newborns, add on all the clients who are miscarry (we don’t get paid for their care), those who we see who don’t continue care with us, those we see for our colleagues, those we see in expanded scope
