ONGIA was built in 2001 by justice professionals who saw a training gap and filled it themselves.
15+ sessions/year. 2,000+ trained. Coast to coast. All volunteers. Zero government funding. Many people have never heard of us. That's the problem, and we are fixing that.

Been getting some inquiries about the LEADS Scholars Can program. We select 2-3 candidates & you self-fund. We select based on contributions to @CAN_SEBP. We used to be less strict, but the return on investment wasn't always worth it & we got little to nothing back #skininthegame
.@justintrudeau drops umbrella (& the mic): “As we sit here in the rain, thinking how uncomfortable we must be these minutes as our suits get wet, and our hair gets wet...it’s all the more fitting that we remember on that day in Dieppe the rain wasn’t rain, it was bullets.”
There has never been as important a training event as this year's @ongia Gang Training conference. Its critical to keeping our communites safe & our dedicated law enforcers protected. @ONsafety@MichaelTibollo@fordnation Agencies should never cut training to save costs.
I’ve been working on this story a long time and thinking about it since I was a crime reporter covering funerals of young boys who had been murdered. It’s about how the city is failing to make good on a plan to curb youth violence. I hope you’ll read it: https://t.co/NErRAhiEY4
