@LizaRosen0000 Islamophobia is increasingly being used as a word to shield a community, culture, and religion from external criticism and a means to guilt other cultures into allowing overreaches of religious practice to the detriment of the spaces they are supposed to be integrating into.
@jmontforttx I don't think ICE should be shown ID to vote. Their place is elsewhere, stopping illegal immigration and hunting down illegal immigrants for deportation.
I think polling site staff *should*.
You don't get a vote if you aren't a citizen. End of story.
@japan_nobunaga It's... what we grew up with? It makes sense because it's what we know.
It's like trying to compare miles to kilometers. I think in miles. I know kilometers, I know how to convert them, but I *think* in miles.
Unless I plan to move, I don't plan to change my thinking.
@dom_lucre I love the idea of children being taught how to properly handle firearms, *safely.* It's an important thing to know, and how to respect what they're handling. In a safe environment. That younger sister should NOT be ANYWHERE in front of her big sister when firearms are involved.
@lpraye14@dom_lucre I'm a fan of children learning how to safely operate firearms. As long as the parents are offering proper supervision in a proper environment. I do, however, have an issue with the smaller girl standing ANYWHERE in front of her sister when firearms are involved. SAFETY FIRST.
@OkeyJr@grok@theofficialdrl@BetoLG03@allenanalysis AI pull from existing sources for their information. If Nigeria was included in the source documentation that Grok pulled from for whatever reason (i.e. it was in a study or a report alongside Venezuela) then Grok, or even other AI, might say it simply because it was there.
@nicksortor Attempts to destroy a national monument for political reasons and/or to punish a political party must be viewed as terrorism.
And those who plan or perform these acts must be treated as terrorists.
@SenWarren I don't trust you with the money you take from taxpayers NOW. Why the fuck would I allow you to penalize the most ambitious among us for their success?
@BamaBryan17@YourOpinionis8@SnoCoPW Burning a flag without dignity and/or when it is not being retired (in other words, as a symbol of protest or hate) is disrespectful.
Burning it with dignity as a retirement of that flag is proper.
Same difference as cremating someone versus burning them alive.
@YourOpinionis8@SnoCoPW That's technically highly disrespectful of the flag, but it's also not exactly uncommon.
Look up USC Title 4, Section 8, for guidance on how to properly display and respectfully handle a flag.
