It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.
What a joy to be together in person for Easter Day. A wonderful joyful return to church and to be able to sing and worship! He is risen! @HamworthyChurch@DioSalisbury
Hamworthy Churches (St Michael's Hamworthy and St Gabriel's Turlin Moor) have provided school with funding to purchase five laptops. This is very generous, and we are very grateful for their continued support. Thank you to @hamworthychurch and members of its congregation.
In 2021, we are collaborating with 8 churches to offer Alpha Online for the whole of Poole. So if you're in Poole, get the word out to friends and family - there's never been a better time to #TryAlpha. Guests can click the link below to register. https://t.co/ZhmhIxGOZE
During lockdown, Hamworthy came together. Our team of 4 community partners provided emergency support over 1000 times, to over 200 vulnerable or at risk people.
Big, big thanks to @DorsetComFnd and @sseplc who supported us with grants, and @BCPCouncil's fab food coordinator 🙌
We're so excited to have Sally join us as our new pioneer curate, alongside @PMCommunities - read all about it here. Huge thanks to @DioSalisbury for recognising and investing in pioneer ministry.

WOW! We just had our first online church service- bigger than a typical Sunday. Lots of familiar faces and some new ones - the oldest over 85, and youngest just 2 weeks old! We even had an NHS nurse joining us on a break. This is so, so special!! Praise God for #PentecostSunday
Despite our church being "closed" we're actually seeing growth at this time:
- Our daily videos get more views than our Sunday services had bums on seats
- New groups started
- More people doing online courses like the Bible Course
- More neighbourhood help / parish care
This Easter we challenged Hamworthy to #OpenTheDoor to Jesus. He is risen, the stone is rolled away, he has made a way for us. Now he stands at the door and knocks!
Open your front door and send us a picture!
Our church have been making their own #PalmSunday crosses, check these out! Even though we can't gather - we can still worship Christ the King, with cries of "Hosanna!" 🙌
