In the continued monitoring of schools by the Office of the National Chairman, I joined the Masaka City Coordinator, Mr Katumba Hamza, and the Secretary for Education, Masaka City Council, to monitor Masaka Police Children’s Primary School in Masaka City.
The Deputy Headteacher, Mr Matovu Robert, who welcomed the @Onc_nrm1 team, commended the support from the Government of Uganda and saluted the founding body, police officers.
The ONC team found that the school has an enrolment of 250 pupils, with 8 government teachers and 4 private teachers.
Mr Matovu highlighted the challenges facing the school, including an unfenced perimeter, lack of staff quarters, and increasing dropouts.
I commended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for supporting the government and the school by renovating the entire school facility, constructing toilets and providing furnitures to all classrooms.
Mr Katumba Hamza asked the school management to work collaboratively with parents and the community to mobilise and bring more learners to the school.
Hon Roset commended the school’s recent academic performance but asked teachers to improve further in order to attain better grades in the coming years.

I visited Kalangala Island where wananchi rely mainly on oil palm for household income. I advised them to diversify to dairy and poultry farming to create more wealth.
I was however pleased that the people of Kalangala have embraced our wealth creation gospel and I testified to this when i visited Ms.Thabisa Akirapa and Mr.Ssesanga Deogratius who are oil palm growers.
They began small and are now rich people on account of listening to my advice and embracing our wealth creation programs.
SPA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo has led Kalangala District residents in a cleaning exercise of the town. This is ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s visit tomorrow as part of his wealth creation themed tour.
