He literally hated what X/Twitter had been for the last 20 years, tried to completely change the app that people loved, and it didn’t work.

The biggest problem comes down to the good old saying: actions speak louder than words. Implement changes people can actually see and feel within the app instead of constantly getting into public disputes with everyone you disagree with.

He also made the moderation team look dorky and unprofessional. When do you ever see customer service or the public facing side of a major company arguing with its own users like that? People don’t need to hear about how much better the app is going to be. Make it better and let them experience it for thems
