I just started watching The Boroughs, and this is what I learnt from Art and Judy's marriage.

When you quietly ignore your partner’s emotional needs, you don’t just create distance you create a void.

Art believed strict rules and physical boundaries could protect his marriage. But when Judy felt unseen and emotionally abandoned, Jack stepped into the space Art had left empty.

The Boroughs is a powerful reminder that marriages don’t usually break because of a lack of rules they break when people stop showing up for each other.
