BTW here are the first 46 minutes of the documentary (another half hour drops in early April)! This details the conspiracy lie TYT told its audience as part of Cenk's union-busting and relevant political context surrounding it. @johncusack is in it!

Just to be clear, if this was the other way around, a Palestinian filmmaker mocking the sexual assault of Israelis, they would be banned from the festival for life
Imagine for a second what would happen if a Palestinian public figure made a joke about raping Israelis on the red carpet of the Tribeca film festival.
Raman needed to beat Pratt by 8.7 points in the remaining vote today. Instead, she won this drop by 22.5 points, and it was a large batch.
That puts Nithya Raman on track to join Karen Bass in a November runoff between two Democrats.
Claudia Sheinbaum has approval ratings of between 70 and 80%, thanks to her progressive policies which have lifted over 8 million people out of poverty.
So of course the @NYTimes finds some reason to attack her.
They hate her because she shows what can be done.
The two reporters on the New York Times Platner story — Katie Glueck and Lisa Lere — are the same reporters who described Zohran Mamdani's July 2025 win as a "Spiritual Kristallnacht."
LOS ANGELES UPDATE: An excellent update for Nithya Raman.
She wins today's batch over Spencer Pratt by almost 21%, which is over what she needs.
Pratt's lead over Raman (for the 2nd runoff spot, behind Mayor Bass) goes down from 5.9% to 3.4%.
Besides un-erasing the story Cenk is desperate to delete, the film aims to educate while also providing an entertaining look at a very unique political drama: a media boss running for Congress as a Progressive WHILE busting a union, then covering it up to bury the truth. /🧵
As detailed in Tell The Truth, Cenk (pinned), this type of practice drove us to unionize The Young Turks.
By labeling me an independent contractor — and later: a 40hr/week "part-time" employee — Cenk was able to avoid the obligations (benefits) full-time employees received.
Amazon sets the routes, the quotas, the uniforms, the cameras — and then tells workers they don't actually work for Amazon. Every delivery worker in this city should be able to afford to live here and have their rights respected.
Workers deserve better.
There were other reasons, of course. The effort took 2 attempts over 2 years but The Young Turks's official story for @TYTUnion's origin remains that Cenk's political foes started it to harm his run for Congress. Shameful.
In the years since, Cenk has doubled-down on the lie.

I love that California takes its time counting votes. Elections should be 3 days (Sat - Sun - Mon) and results should take two weeks minimum w/ robust transparency.
The fact that the most bloodthirsty Zionist mouthpieces, from Van Jones to Fetterman, are running with similar narratives about this tabloid trash should tell you all you need to know about it. This is a hit piece, motivated by Platner's strong stance on cutting aid to Israel.
