@Austin_Police I taught Adam several years ago. What a good kid. I’m thinking positive thoughts and hoping he will be found and reunited with his family soon.
What a lesson! Ms. Cotten uses her harpist skills to teach our 5th grade Dillos about sound waves. We have a lot of talent at Hill School! #dillobest#aisdgottalent
I’m so proud of these kiddos! They are making real scientific discoveries at such a young age! It is so fun making connections with scientists at the #texasacademyofscience where I presented a poster on their findings and our scientific process. #hilldillos#aisdproud#tas#stem
I couldn’t contain myself at these falls! I didn’t have my swim suit but that didn’t keep me from taking a dip...in my clothes! I’m now headed off to the next part of my travels with Fund for Teachers...Hawaii!#rainforesthopping#allaboutwaterfalls#tardigradeseverywhere
Check out this camouflaged octopus... and eels, coral, box fish, sea turtle, lobster, puffer fish...Just a few highlights from Coiba Island, Panama. Scuba diving is a fantastic way to learn about and experience our biodiverse world. #fft#fundforteachers#aisdproud#hilldillos
The best part about traveling and learning with Fund for Teachers is the number of incredible experiences along the way. The people and animals I have met have changed my life for the better! #slothencounter#fft#fundforteachers#panama#aisdproud#hilldillos
I was in awe as we learned about standards of measurement tools from great minds at NIST. Scientists like Daniel Sawyer are not only making contributions towards the advancement of science but also bridging the gap between the scientific community and public. #NIST#JNC2018#aisd https://t.co/cPXrU90ZLu
What fabulous photos of the wind taking over and the America flag ingulfing Heather. It’s like she’s wrapped in a flag taco. Total chaos. Love it. Watch the progression from frustration about wind blown hair, to Heather’s disappearing act. #JNC2018#jasonlearning
What a night aboard the Spirit of Washington along the Potomac River with fabulous educators and scientists in the JASON community. #JNC2018#jasonlearning @SpinnerHeather
What a joy to bring science to the classrooms of indigenous Panama. Watching these future scientists look through a microscope for the first time was such a beautiful experience.Their eyes have been opened and they are now hooked on science! #fft#hilldillos#aisdproud#fftfellow
As a Fund for Teachers Travel Grant Fellow, I will first learn how to conduct biodiversity surveys from Dr. Miller. Then I will pay it forward through outreach education in Panama as well as collect samples and conduct research in the rainforests of Panama, Costa Rica and Hawaii.
