Well that was a fun ride in Santa Monica. Most earthquakes fall under the category of "Was that an earthquake or did a big truck just drive by?" For this one there was no doubt #earthquake

Ceasefire?

We walked onto cattle cars while you watched.

We returned to our slaughter on ships that you turned away.

We waited in line to use your “showers.”

1.5 million of our children were exterminated because of your indifference.

2 out of every 3 of us in Europe disappeared and you deny our genocide.

This time we thought you would come. We waited - some of us with our captors in underground tunnels, some of us by the Gaza border, some of us by the door.

We waited for you to help Israel - not just the country, but Israel the people. But you took to the streets and accused us of murder for defending against the monsters who raped and butchered and burned and kidnapped our loved ones.

You call for another intifada, and for judenrein in Israel - for our annihilation “from the river to the sea.”

We have been saying “never again” for the last 79 years. Our children and parents, siblings, and grandparents are still in Gaza. Hamas still poses an existential threat….

Never again is NOW.

If you want a ceasefire, then LET OUR PEOPLE GO!!! Otherwise, move aside, because we are NOT marching to our deaths for you anymore.

@AP_from_NY Being able to flee and having Israel as the destination. My dad is alive. As I was taught to look out for the next Holocaust the fact that it's here doesn't surprise me. The fact it's happening twice in my dad's life does.

@AP_from_NY Not sure I agree completely. Yes, my dad came to this country w/ $10 but his motivations were different. He wanted to return our family to the lifestyle we had prior to the war. BUT, he fully expected another Holocaust. To him, $$ was a critical part of the ability to flee.

@MM26982071 @AvivaKlompas 1. My family are descendents of the tribe of Levi. This can be proven via science/genetic testing.
2. My maternal grandparents fled Germany in 1932 and moved to Israel. They didn't steal property but rather bought their house.

His endorsement is a big deal and should be duly considered Also, I'm a faithful reader of Celebitchy but I really don't care about Obama's relationship with Prince Harry good or bad.

Today on the @UN day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, we stand with the Israeli women who were subjected to horrific sexual violence on October 7th and with the hostages who continue to experience unimaginable crimes at the hands of Hamas.

We will not rest until women everywhere are safe.

@HilzFuld I further told them that info regarding my remaining family would all be found at Yad VaShem. That was followed with a polite silence. Finally, the guy sighed at said just get a letter from a rabbi and be done with it.

@HilzFuld I quizzed some officials about proving Judaism. My mom was an Israeli citizen when I was born--which they hemmed and hawed about and served in the IDF in '48 which they said meant nothing. My grandfather was in the Haganah- also not impressed.
