@hisotalus Try making sure wee uns are getting warm enough and give be them a heat boost if you can (put them ontop of warm appliance if you can), temperatures have been rubbish at the moment
Final Access Psychology class of 2020-21. Congratulations to all the students for your hard work this year and best of luck with those applying to @UofGPsychology ! π₯
@emilynordmann What is interesting is both groups seem to be positive experiences so far. Different situations perhaps need different tailoring. I was surprised by how positive my predominant "we didn't choose this" group were about having an "asynchronous" study week for a change
@emilynordmann With my "two hats" I teach in one domain where students have chosen to learn online, and one where students havent. I still have far more "contact" (albeit virtual) with the ones that didn't choose to learn online than the ones who did (who are more assnchronous). 1/2
@UofGlasgow I was back in Scotland from Hong Kong where I was living at the time looking at universities for a week. Was met by a lovely woman who gave us a personal tour around the place as I wasn't there on an official open day. Glasgow fit just right. 3 degrees later, I'm still here.
@holland_barrett Not only could I not change my order after accidentally ordering next day delivery, it then took 4 days to arrive, packages have split and the order is incomplete.
Strangest final Access class I've ever had - students joined me via Zoom to have a chat and check-in after our abrupt end to face-to-face classes last week. Feels quite sad to be finishing up this way after all their hard work over the year. Repeat tomorrow with group 2 π
One of the joys of working for the @OpenUniversity is that home-working is my norm for part of the week already. Cats are loving it being extended to include all my work though... #WelcomeToMyHomeWorkingWorld
