Hi, I am a student teacher but wondering about what you are all learning now that would be helpful for a new teacher? Also what could a student teacher be doing to support teachers and schools? #educhat#education#edutwitter

@jrhaward2 I 100% agree! Its so important that we make sure families feel equipped to run a fun learning environment with their children. Activities need to be simple and easy to understand and that personal contact is made with every family to help as well #PrimarySTEMchat
@ponderingDan that is a great resource! How do you think learning would work at home in an isolation environment where parents are children cant get close to each other? #PrimarySTEMchat
How are children able to do distant learning without technology? These platforms are great but I wonder how pupils without access can still be involved? #PrimarySTEMchat
@APL20201 I have heard of some of them too, However, we do need to be careful that we are making sure that there is a balance between screen/ digital work and other work so that children are not spending all day starring at a screen. #PrimarySTEMchat
Q3: STEM learning can be done in many ways. I think a lot of it can be done through learning through play. When children are at home simple things like counting toys while they put them away or measuring baking ingredients all help with learning in fun ways. ##PrimarySTEMchat
@harkinworld This is a fantastic looking resource! I love the way it has a wide range of activities that will be enjoyable for children with all different hobbies and skills. #PrimarySTEMchat
@APL20201 I think it is important when children are learning by distance to ensure all learning is done in a way that is fun and engaging for them.
Does anyone know any fun learning platforms for this? #PrimarySTEMchat
@ryangnels Seesaw is fantastic for involving each child's family in their learning. It is great to give children the opportunity to be proud of what they are achieving and be able to share it with others. #PrimarySTEMchat
A2: Within our learning programme at Laidlaw we are currently using Office365 and teams which are fantastic in allowing us all to share our work and collaborate together online. The video functions are also great #PrimarySTEMchat
A1: As a training teacher I haven't physically got anything to plan for school myself however, I am very interested to hear some of the ways others are choosing to deal with this. Any ideas? #PrimarySTEMchat
Hi, I am Hannah a first year training teacher from Christchurch, I am very interested to see how everybody is going to deal with school closures and the different responses to it #PrimarySTEMchat
@LisaGrayson2803 love your answer for Q2. I think that it should influence the way that we teach. We need to teach in a way that allows every child to grow because if we aren't teaching in a way that allows every child to learn and grow are we being good role model? #CScEdchatNZ
@AneNakao How do we know if a child is reaching Gods plans for their life? Is this something as teachers we can know or is it something that each child over time will find for themselves? #CScEdchatNZ
