What truly makes our country great is its diversity. I’ve seen that beauty in so many ways over the years. Whether we are born here or seek refuge here, there’s a place for us all. We must remember it’s not my America or your America. It’s our America.
Thank you to @hasanminhaj for covering #Sudan on @patriotact. Please watch and support your Sudanese students, friends & neighbors. I miss home but am inspired by the Sudanese fighting for their freedoms. https://t.co/AEUQQvDveP #IAmTheSudanRevoloution
#Racism at @alamocares and @Enterprise at CDG airport. They denied my Puerto Rican friend from renting a car and they refused to rent to me because we were together. The USA rep apologized profusely but could do nothing to make them rent to me. Disgusted.
On #HigherEducationDay, let us give some thought to the plight of students and faculty and staff at Sudanese universities. They are giving their lives in the fight for rule of law, peace and justice. #sudan#IAmTheSudanRevolution
#IntlEd community - please reach out to your Sudanese students. This is a terrible and difficult time for students in Sudan and the diaspora. The limited news coverage is isolating and univ support and resources are vital. #sudan#IntlStudents
I know these streets. I learned Arabic by slowly sounding out the letters on the billboards as the kind and wonderful drivers helped me along. The Sudan I know is beautiful, welcoming, and loving. My heart is breaking for my friends, family, and neighbors caught in this madness.
Incredibly honoured to be featured in @BritishVogue for my coverage on #SudanUprising, alongside two groundbreaking Sudanese women: artist @alaa_satir and poet Marwa Babiker.
Thank you for the great write-up @AmelAMukhtar 🧡 https://t.co/xBUHCycVNr
J. Noah Brown of @CCTrustees citing Hope Lab’s work on CC students being hungry and homeless at the CC Administrators Programs’ International Dialogue on Tech and Vocational Education. 46% of CC students housing insecure, 12% homeless. Always thankful for @saragoldrickrab’s work!
Watched this live footage gunshots and casualties from Nile Street in #Sudan - keeping my friends and neighbors in my prayers during these dark nights of the #SudanUprising https://t.co/uzp6m95QBI
Omar al-Bashir's 30-year rule over Sudan was toppled after months of anti-government protests — now Sudanese protesters are calling for an end to the entire regime he built

#IntlStudents create jobs, drive research, enrich classrooms, strengthen national security & are our best ambassadors and allies. We must support welcoming #immigration policies that will strengthen #IntlEd. https://t.co/bRn2qQibSZ #YouAreWelcomeHere
🚨 Awesomeness alert! 🚨
A tipster neighbor tells us Dorjee Momo will soon have a permanent location at 13th and Pennsylvania SE! Congratulations!!!! (And yay #HillEast!)
H/t @lawalker13!
On of my work study jobs was in my college’s advising office - I learned more about opportunities for students as a minimum wage employee purging student files and processing admissions applications than anywhere else on campus.
Just told an undergrad about graduate assistantships, stipends, & tuition waivers. Her mind was blown. We need to do a better job educating students about #gradstudent opportunities - esp for rural, low-income, non-traditional students #highered
I have had more than one male colleague sincerely ask whether a certain behavior is mansplaining. Since apparently this is hard to figure out, I made one of them a chart.
