This disgusts me. I’ve also heard assisted dying campaigners mock the idea of an amendment to require a pregnancy test before prescribing someone lethal drugs saying this is evidence of filibustering too despite the fact pregnancy could change the effect of the drugs. I think campaigners are so desperate for assisted dying it’s warped their sense of right and wrong and what it means to conduct debate respectfully and in good faith.

Tributes have been paid to a "much-loved" mum who died after being hit by a car in Cockermouth.

74-year-old Catherine Sams, who was from the area, died at the scene of the collision on 14th March.
