She wasn’t a suffragette. She came through the trade unions — and history didn’t quite know what to do with her.

A huge thank to @AngelaRayner for joining us today to mark International Women’s Day to talk all things Labour, politics and inspiring us to
be our authentic selves. We loved it!
We have so many outstanding staff working in Parliament - many are women, who often quietly & diligently do their job, without recognition. I’m very proud to support @LWPSN and to know so many of these fantastic women👏🏻❤️💃🏼#TheseGirlsCan#LabourWomen
Remembering a very special evening celebrating our achievements together at No.11 Downing St. Thank you so much to @RachelReevesMP for hosting our gathering and making us feel so welcome and empowered. There’s nothing like women coming together to support other women. 🌹
A big thank you to the Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons @LucyMPowell for joining the network this lunchtime. We really enjoyed our conversation and looking forward to our next meeting already!
A big thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas reception to celebrate 4 years of the network and to our amazing speakers for giving such uplifting, wonderful speeches! 🎄✨🥳
What a fabulous evening in parliament celebrating the brilliant female staffers who work for Labour politicians (not always the easiest gig tbh). Lots of inspiring speeches & a room full of super clever, hardworking, creative, funny, talented women. We’re lucky to have them!
It was great to welcome back @jessphillips at lunchtime today to talk about her new book and all things women and politics. A big thank you for your time with the network! We look forward to seeing you again soon. ✨
Today, the first woman Chancellor of the Exchequer delivers @UKLabour’s first budget in 14 years. We are looking forward to seeing @RachelReevesMP at the Despatch Box after PMQs. #Budget24

Family and reflection time on the 8th anniversary of Jo’s murder including a visit to the wonderful #JoCox Community Wood🌳 We miss Jo every day❤️ Thank you to everyone everywhere for the support you have shown to our family over the last 8years🙏🏻
Great to have @CAdamsLab from the PLP, and members of the House Services Team, talk to @LWPSN members about the next election. Some great questions and an opportunity for staff to think about their future careers. ✨
We are devastated that Jayne has died. She loved working for you @HollyLynch5 and @RachelReevesMP. We want to celebrate Jayne as a wonderful member of this network, always supportive from the beginning. Sending condolences to her lovely family and all her friends. We’ll miss her.
Almost every activist in the Labour Party will have been on a door knocking round with the legend that was Jayne Hill.
Such a valued member of my team and Rachel Reeves team before that. She was at every council, general and by-election in recent history.
