This is such a good point! It's so important to have books that every student can identify with so that they feel like they are a part of their classroom community.
This is a very great idea. As a future teacher, I would love to do something like this so that my students can pick out books that I or other teachers have read. This will catch the students' interest and they will want to read them!
I really enjoyed reading the beginning of the book “Guiding Readers and Writers” by Irene Fountas and Gay Pinnell. One skill I want to use from this book is how scheduled out the day is for the students. I am a very details-oriented person so this book is very helpful. 1-15-20
