Wondering why it’s taking months for coverage at a U.S. publication to go live? Scheduled a pitch to a U.S. journalist only to realize there are six time zones across the country (some states even have multiple!)? Struggling to tailor your outreach to a media landscape that’s massive and highly segmented?
I’ll be sharing how to navigate these challenges and more in my talk, “Across the Pond and Into the Press: Mastering U.S. PR,” at @digitaloftuk's Digital PR Summit this May!
See y’all there! 🤠 🇺🇸
So I have a potential sponsorship lined up for Frank but the problem is the box was sent by the sponsors during the Met’s hate rally. @NjTank99 refuses to open it until after the Mets season. I’m sure they will understand, right?
I saw a senior marketer post recently that trends gives them the ick.
Very demure , very mindful, brat summer - what’s next?
If that’s your mindset, you need to realise very quickly about todays consumer. Gen alpha - born from 2010 onwards, are the generation we are going to be selling and marketing to for the next decade atleast.
These people are the beating heart of culture and trends. You gotta accept what’s new now, to build a brand that lasts forever. What words they use, what platforms they spend their time, how long their average loyalty is, what influences their buying decisions.
Too many stiff and stubborn mindsets is what kills businesses.
The average age of rise at seven has always been known as very low. And there’s good reason for that, we are for the innovating brands that accept change and want to be consumer and culture first.
Hire 16-25 year olds, they will be your secret 🤫
Just had a great reminder of the power of networking! Reconnected with a journalist I’d collaborated with before—all thanks to a TikTok video. You never know where a past connection might lead. Stay open to opportunities! #Networking#DigitalPR#SocialMedia#TikTok
I’m building the best search first creative agency in the whole of the states. And I’m doing it slower this time. 🫶
Slower doesnt mean we’re not ambitious, setting standards of what great SEO and creative work is. Slower doesn’t mean we’re not pushing for bigger, looking to dominate the industry with the best in class results.
Because…
👉🏼 we just did $2.8m
👉🏼Our US team in June was the best performing team of the whole agency
👉🏼 we just won 2 Fortune 500 companies as clients in the US
👉🏼 we just doubled our office space with ambitious growth plans
👉🏼 we just did 300% growth in SEO traffic for a client - adding over 700k monthly traffic for high volume keywords
But slower means having the blessing to be choosing who we want to work with, knowing our product and not inventing water as we jump off the diving board. We’re hiring and training better than ever, we have process in place that we’ve brought from the UK that works. Slower means focusing on quality instead of quantity, it means having time to invest in innovation, pivot strategies and testing new executions.
And as a result of going “slower”, here we are celebrating in The Hamptons. I told the team if they hit $2m I’d take them all on a trip to The Hamptons. We’re on track to do $2.8m
We’ve had a week of pool parties, paint classes, yoga classes, bbqs, celeb hunting, dancing on tables, and incredible quality time with our US team. And I had many moments of tears in my eyes looking at what we have achieved. Everyone in the UK team is proud to have helped expand us to the USA, 🇺🇸 and build a thriving rise culture over there meaning we’re winning global clients from day 1.
To ever single riser that helped make this possible 🥂

Two months of unemployment felt endless, but a trip to Zimbabwe with an 80% unemployment rate humbled me. Meeting people searching for jobs much longer than I have was a reality check. It refreshed my perspective, reminding me to stay resilient and grateful for every opportunity
Fake PR pros: “Let me play the numbers game.”
Real PR pros: “I’m going to do the hard thing and find the right person before spending hours crafting the pitch to perfection.”
Hey everyone! 👋 I'm on the lookout for a stellar PR headhunter to help me land my next role. After a couple of months navigating the job market solo, I'm ready to team up with someone who knows the ins and outs of the PR industry. Any suggestions? #DigitalPR#PRJobs#HeadHunter

Please, be polite. #MediaRelations Pitching ed.
If PR did the research, and sent out a relevant pitch, that is well-written, and for any reason the journo doesn't want to cover it it is just polite to reply.
I know that the inbox is crazy, but trust me PR inbox is crazy, too😉
