We are incredibly honored to have come this far. Initially funded for one building, we’ve managed to expand and kick off two more. Our Vocational Academy is taking shape, and we can’t wait to see it completed one day. #TVET#SkillingUganda
@AnthonyMugabira@tebankadde You are so much on point, he is the one. Such a young promising and professional soldier he was. He was President Museveni’s ADC even during the swearing in at Parliament in 1986. @tebankadde if you have more photos of him kindly share, his family will much appreciate.
While in Uganda visiting our partners, we were deeply honored to witness a beautiful tribute to our founder at AOET in Jinja—a school and orphan village Bob Pagett loved and championed for decades.
The celebration, the dancing, the joy—all offered in remembrance of his life and impact.
Beneath his portrait, the words read, “Your legacy lives on at AOET.” And we feel that deeply, too. 🤍
We’ve got a wonderful update on Mete!
After working for some time with partners to get her the treatment she needed, she’s officially had her second—and final—surgery. 💛
Swipe through for her full recovery update!

We loved Bob Pagett but Heaven loved him more. You rest but your legacy will forever continue. We will all miss your hardwork and wonderful stories. May God strengthen Charlene Pagett, the Pagett & Sudfeld families during this hard time.
In Loving Memory of Our Founder, Bob Pagett.
With profound sorrow and deep gratitude for his life, we share the passing of our beloved founder, Robert John “Bob” Pagett, who left this earth on October 8, 2025, at the age of 86.
Bob Pagett founded Assist International with his beloved wife, Charlene, with a bold and compassionate vision: to care for orphaned children and bring dignity, hope, and transformation to vulnerable communities around the world. His life was marked by tireless service, unwavering faith, and a heart that beat for the broken and the forgotten. From hospitals in Africa to orphan villages in Romania, his legacy lives on in every life touched by the work he began.
Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy that continues to grow. We remain committed to honoring his vision and advancing the mission he so passionately led.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, your memories, and your continued support. The legacy of our founder is woven into the very heart of Assist International. His vision of compassion in action continues to guide our mission, shape our partnerships, and inspire every effort to partner with those in need around the world. His impact is immense — and his work will carry on through all that we do.
If you would like to share a special photo, note or memory, please send it to [email protected].
A memorial service celebrating his life and legacy will be held on December 6 at 1:00 PM at Christian Life Center in Santa Cruz, California.
Powerful insights from the Concordia session at #UNGA80 today: Shared ownership, shared accountability, shared sustainability. Without a clear exit strategy, long-term impact is at risk. Who carries the torch matters.
Let’s take a look back at the third and final day of competitions at EuroSkills Herning 2025! A day filled with emotions after three intense days of focus and dedication. Congratulations to all!

Farmers are among the world’s most resourceful and resilient people. Thanks to generous donors, Assist International has provided cows to the Children’s Village in Atiak, Uganda—creating space for children to be nourished while learning valuable farming skills. These are steps toward a brighter future, where nourishment brings not only strength, but also confidence, joy, and opportunity.

Imagine trying to care for patients without working tools.
For many healthcare workers in low- and middle-income countries, this is a daily reality.
The WHO estimates 50–70% of medical devices in LMICs are nonfunctional—not because they’re obsolete, but because they need simple repairs or parts that aren't available.
This means that critical devices—ventilators, oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters—often sit idle, even when lives are on the line.
At Assist International, we’ve seen this firsthand. In Cambodia, we partnered with a hospital to support local biomedical technicians and begin changing this story. And it’s working.
This HTM Week, we’re honoring the technicians and engineers around the world who are essential to making healthcare possible—not just functional, but effective. #IamHTM

In commemoration of #WorldHealthDay2025 Day, I celebrate frontline workers like Dr. Sarah, who heads Atutur Hospital in Eastern Uganda. Her dedication to seeking help for her hospital is truly inspiring. I had the privilege of interacting with her, and it’s clear that her work
is more than just a job—it’s a calling. She strives to ensure the best care for every patient who walks through the hospital’s doors, which drives her relentless efforts to secure the equipment needed to improve the facility. It’s people like Dr. Sarah who shape our fate when we
