I have explained this on countless previous occasions but let me do so again: Islam views the world through a dual prism: 1) dar al-Islam (the house of Islam); 2) dal al-harb (the house of war). Any country that is under Islamic control is part of the former. Any country that is not yet under Islamic control is part of the latter. A country that was once ruled by Islam and then is no longer ruled by it MUST be reconquered by Islam (canonically speaking). This is why you hear Muslims saying that Al-Andalus must be reconquered. This is why Israel is such an existential affront to Islam. These are foundational canonical tenets of Islam. The entire world must belong to Islam according to its teachings, hence it is a profoundly expansionist and supremacist ideology. It is also true that millions of Muslims may not actively engage in implementing those canonical doctrines. Hence, Islam is deeply incongruent with Western values AND many Muslims are perfectly lovely and peaceful. Both of those statements are true.

This is Aurelio Spagnoletto, an Italian Jew who perished at Auschwitz in December 1944 at the age of 39.

The stumbling stone in Rome commemorating him was recently vandalized. The memorial stone dedicated to Ezio Spizzichino was also covered with paint.

This is not simply an act of vandalism. It is a sad, hate-driven attack on the memory of specific, innocent victims of Auschwitz.

Paint can be erased easily. We must all make sure their memory cannot.

This is the voice of Najmeh Amini, a 23 year old accounting student, speaking from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. In her voice message she says: «Be my voice. I am an innocent girl, a young woman full of hopes and dreams.»

Najmeh is one of the detainees of the January uprising .

She spent months in detention without a verdict, denied access to a lawyer of her choice and pressured during interrogation. In August, her trial was held at the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad on charges of «assembly and collusion» and «insulting sacred values.»

She said in her voice message that her death sentence was issued on September 16, 2026.

In her own words: «People, I only want justice and the chance to defend myself.» And this is her dream: «Before the rope ends my life, let me see my Iran prosperous and free.»

Be her voice and all of political prisoners, especially those at risk of execution.

Saudi Arabia is not an apartheid state – Public practice of any religion other than Islam is prohibited. Non-Muslim houses of worship may not be built. Apostasy and non-Muslim proselytizing are criminalized; conversion from Islam is punishable by death on the books. Naturalization requires the applicant to be Muslim.

Lebanon is not an apartheid state – Law No. 296 of 2001 bars anyone without citizenship of a “recognized state” from acquiring real property. Palestinian refugees fall under this ban and cannot legally buy or, in practice, inherit real estate after 2001. They remain excluded from dozens of licensed professions and from citizenship after generations born in the country.

Kuwait is not an apartheid state – The Nationality Law requires that a person seeking naturalization “be an original Muslim by birth, or that he has converted to Islam.” Non-Muslims are barred from naturalization. Women cannot confer nationality on their children on the same terms as men.

Qatar is not an apartheid state – Qatari women cannot confer nationality on their children born to a non-Qatari father, with no exception. Citizenship applications by long-term residents are capped and rarely granted. The kafala sponsorship system ties a migrant worker’s legal status to a citizen sponsor.

United Arab Emirates is not an apartheid state – Citizenship is transmitted primarily through the father. Naturalization is exceptional and tightly limited. The kafala system places migrant workers’ residency and job mobility under a citizen sponsor.

Pakistan is not an apartheid state – The Constitution (Article 260) and Ordinance XX declare Ahmadis non-Muslims. Penal Code sections 298-B and 298-C make it a crime for Ahmadis to call themselves Muslim, use Islamic terminology, or preach their faith, punishable by imprisonment. Blasphemy under section 295-C carries the death penalty.

Iran is not an apartheid state – Constitution Article 13 recognizes only Zoroastrians, Jews, and Christians as religious minorities. Baha’is are excluded from official recognition, identity documents listing their faith, university admission on equal terms, and communal property rights.

Afghanistan is not an apartheid state – Under Taliban rule, apostasy and blasphemy are capital offenses. Non-Muslims and converts have no legal pathway to public worship or equal civic status.

Maldives is not an apartheid state – The Constitution states that only a Muslim may be a citizen. Conversion from Islam can result in loss of citizenship. Apostasy and blasphemy remain capital offenses on the books.

Mauritania is not an apartheid state – Apostasy is a capital offense. Conversion from Islam can result in loss of citizenship rights. Hereditary slavery of the Haratin (Black) population by Bidhan (Arab-Berber) groups has persisted despite formal abolition.

Yemen is not an apartheid state – Apostasy is punishable by death. Public non-Muslim worship is not protected. Personal-status rules follow Sharia distinctions between Muslims and non-Muslims.

Egypt is not an apartheid state – The Constitution names Islam as the state religion and the principles of Sharia as the main source of legislation. Unrecognized groups such as Baha’is cannot obtain identity documents reflecting their faith. Muslim women cannot legally marry non-Muslim men unless the man converts. Blasphemy is criminalized.

Jordan is not an apartheid state – A Muslim woman cannot legally marry a non-Muslim man unless he converts. Nationality is transmitted through the father; citizen women cannot confer nationality on children or foreign spouses on equal terms. Converts from Islam face bureaucratic and family-law disadvantages.

Syria is not an apartheid state – Personal-status law follows Sharia rules that restrict Muslim women’s marriage to non-Muslims. Palestinian refugees hold a distinct legal status and do not acquire full citizenship.

I næste måned skal jeg vidne mod den kendte muslimske debattør Mohamed Abdi Kahn.

Årsagen er, at han sidste år kom med trusler mod mig og min daværende arbejdsplads, B.T.

Truslerne kom i kølvandet på, at jeg havde skrevet en afslørende artikel om en topfigur i Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Det fik Mohamed Abdi Kahn til i en kommentar på Facebook at anklage mig og B.T. for at “krænke” og “angribe” det, han kaldte “vores brødre og søstre”.

“Muslimske brødre i DK skal faktisk komme sammen, lave en plan og bekæmpe dem. Vi kan stoppe dem, og det skal vi gøre på den hårde og smertefulde måde,” fortsatte han.

I en anden kommentar skrev Mohamed Abdi Kahn, at “nu søger vi deres personlige informationer og adresser, så vores muslimske brødre kan bruge det”.

“Vi har nu personlige informationer om Claes Kirkeby Theilgaard og de bliver snart offentliggjort til relevante personer,” skrev han kort herefter.

De kommentarer har nu ført til, at Mohamed Abdi Kahn er tiltalt for offentlig tilskyndelse til forbrydelse efter straffelovens paragraf 136, stk. 1.

Retssagen finder sted den 27. oktober, og anklagemyndigheden går efter fængselsstraf.

Men uanset hvad retten måtte nå frem til, er jeg glad for at leve i et land, hvor myndighederne tager den her slags sager alvorligt.

Desværre er Mohamed Abdi Kahns trussel blot en ud af flere, jeg har modtaget som følge af mit journalistiske arbejde.

Personligt har jeg for længe siden besluttet mig for, at jeg ikke vil lade mig kue.

Derfor fortsætter jeg også ufortrødent.

John Cleese, 86, is being targeted by activist group Deenified as he tours England with his Holy Grail stage show. The group has accused him on X of "using your platform to attack Islam" and "spreading dangerous misinformation," with one activist calling free speech "a convenient shield for anti-Muslim hostility."

Cleese rejects the Islamophobe label entirely, calling himself "Islamosceptic," and has pointed out nobody ever called him "Christophobic" after Life of Brian. Islamic outlet 5Pillars has gone further still, explicitly demanding he be de-platformed.

Rupert Lowe has already called this what it is: a pressure group trying to bully an 86-year-old man into silence over jokes and honest opinions. He's right, and he's right to tell Restore Britain to back Cleese publicly.

These people don't want dialogue. They want submission. Every time someone caves to this kind of pressure, it teaches them the tactic works, and they come back harder next time for the next target. Cleese is refusing to bow, and every single person who values the right to criticise a religion without getting hounded for it should be standing directly behind him.

Protect @JohnCleese, at all costs.
