Today is the martyrdom anniversary of Samir Kuntar, the legendary Hezbollah commander and leader of detainees in "israeli" prisons. He was imprisoned alongside Martyr Yahya Sinwar (ra) and others.

He was martyred by an "israeli" airstrike on Syria while he was engaged in the battle to fight against the Zionists' proxy terror army known as ISIS. As usual, "israel" was and is the airforce of ISIS.

Several Hezbollah martyrs who came from non-Shi’a Muslim backgrounds also are included in the book with exclusive biographies and narratives.

PRESS RELEASE — Basira Press publications will release its debut book, The Firmest Handle: Converts to Islam Who Became Martyrs, on 21 October 2024. This is the first book to ever be published on Islamic martyrs who had converted to Islam or went from one school of thought within Islam towards Shi’a Islam.

It is also the first-ever book to write about the life and suspicious murder of Martyr Malcolm Latif Shabazz, the grandson of African American Muslim leader Malcolm X. Featuring exclusive interviews with many of Malcolm Shabazz’s friends and colleagues, including former US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, it sheds much light and gives strong clues into how he was murdered and that the mainstream media narrative surrounding his death are a bunch of lies meant to defame him and his grandfather.

The book is the initiative of Basira Press’ editor-in-chief Ali Salaam, who himself is a convert to Islam, having converted about 11 years ago in late 2013. Salaam was born in the US to a Russian-Jewish family and left the US several years ago due to being subject to unjust political targeting by the FBI in 2018. The book also features the work of co-author Sondoss al-Asa’ad, a Lebanese journalist.

The martyrs featured in the book include: Tony Abi Ghanem, a Lebanese Christian who converted to Shi’a Islam and joined Hezbollah; Malcolm X and his grandson Malcolm Latif Shabazz; Edoardo Agnelli, sole heir to the Italian multi-billion Agnelli dynasty; Samir Kuntar, the Hezbollah commander who originally was from a Druze background; Ayman al-Fakih, a Lebanese secular Sunni Muslim who converted to Shiism and joined Hezbollah; Jerome “Kamel” Courcelle, a half-French, half-Tunisian who converted to Islam and went to Iran in the 1980s, joining the armed forces to fight against the US/Zionist-backed Baathist regime of Iraq; and more. Basira Press conducted exclusive interviews with friends and family of the martyrs.
