@tropicalupdate 1.I am from WPB, but live in Atlanta now. I always watch for hurricanes headed to my family back home. Thanks MWP!
2.I teach 4-5th grade & use it in class. I pull it up on the board, and they predict formation & tracks. They'll even pull it up on their own & tell me what they see
@Angry_Staffer And 7 in DeKalb. Including the library that serves as my precinct about a mile from my house. Heard the helicopters overhead for about 90 minutes.
@marceelias@DevinCow Thank you! It means my two children who are visiting from college get to vote tomorrow morning before heading back out of two! There was no way the absentee ballots would have made it there and back in the short turn around between elections.
@pattonoswalt @blainecapatch I was out of my class while my students had specials. I ran into the custodian. She told what happened. I had to walk back to my 5th graders and try not to cry. The school is was 1 mile from the CDC outside Atlanta, we were scared it was a target. We had no idea what was going on
@ProjectLincoln I paid off past due medical bills. And then I bought myself a new mattress to replace my 25 year old one. Because I deserve it. I'm a teacher. And it's been a hell of a year.
@POTUS I am a teacher Georgia where we are not a priority. I was driving home from another exhausting day of teaching face-to-face students and virtual students simultaneously, when I heard you say this.
I literally started crying with relief. Thank you!
While streaming the inauguration with my 5th graders. As @KamalaHarris was being sworn in, one of my girls, an African-American, raised her right hand and repeated the oath with her. That, my friends, is what this moment is about.
