You are not a victim of your children. You are not a victim of motherhood. However inconvenienced or tired you feel, your children are 1000 times more vulnerable than you.
What troubles me about the Lindsay Clancy conversation is the disconnect.
I see many women who strongly defend a womanās right to choose abortion now asking society to view the killing of three born children almost entirely through the lens of the motherās mental state.
To me, there is a deeper cultural question here.
When we condition ourselves to believe that motherhood gives a woman the moral authority to decide whether the life she created should continue, does that change the way some people emotionally process the value of a childās life?
I believe there is a psychological and moral disconnect in a culture that can become so centered on the woman, her choice, her circumstances, and her suffering that the children themselves become secondary.
Lindsay Clancy may have been suffering. Her mental condition deserves to be examined fairly in court. But three children are dead.
They were not ideas.
They were not political talking points.
They were human beings.
Compassion for a mother should never require us to erase compassion, accountability, or justice for her children.
The children mattered too.
Insightful from @emmma_camp_
"Surrogacy poses tricky questions. Is a childās mother the woman who gives birth to him, or the one who gave half her DNA to make him? Or is it a third party, like Ms. Lewis, who pays one woman for her eggs and one woman for her womb? Are parents stewards or architects of their childrenās lives? Should they accept the children God gives them? Or can they try to write their own family stories by selecting the best of the batch?"
These questions are only "tricky" if adult desire is the dominant consideration.
If children have a right to life and to their mother and father, it's a very straightforward. No surrogacy. No third parties. Mass IVF restriction.

A home with a brand new baby in it is sacred. To be invited over is a privilege beyond comprehension.
Leave your shoes at the door, for this is holy ground.
A Mom and Dad practicing surrender. A tiny elf so fresh from God - still radiant like an imagined Moses on his way down Mt Sinai.
Carry peace in with you and plant it in every crack and corner you can find.

At Texas A&M University, we serve with purpose, lead with character and take action for the good of our communities.
This is what it means to be an Aggie: to believe that what we can do together is far greater than what any one of us can do alone. For 150 years, Aggies have embodied that belief for Texas and for America.
Together, we stand. Together, we serve. Together, we are a force for good.

In lethal injection, a powerful anesthetic is given first because concentrated potassium chloride causes searing, fire like pain as it travels through the veins.
A paralytic follows, then the potassium chloride to stop the heart.
Without anesthesia, the person would experience that agony while conscious.
In late term abortions, the same potassium chloride (or digoxin) is injected into the unborn childās heart or umbilical cord to stop the heartbeat before the procedure.
No anesthetic is given to the child.
Pain receptors are present, neural pathways are functional, and research shows premature infants of similar age are actually more sensitive to pain than full term newborns, partly because the pathways that normally dampen pain signals are not yet mature.
The same chemical that requires anesthesia for a condemned prisoner is delivered to an unborn child with none.
Ultrasound has documented fetal movement and signs of distress during the process.
People who are okay with this, are sick.
There are some things I donāt think weāre supposed to intellectualize into oblivion. A child trusting their mother should be one of them. Those babies didnāt know about postpartum psychosis, or medication, or whatever was happening in their motherās mind. They just knew mom, and mom was supposed to be the one person on earth to keep them safe, and she strangled them to death, destroying that sacred bond. Whatever explanation comes out in court and whatever yāall come up with will never erase the fact that she killed her OWN babies. A diagnosis doesnāt undo her actions. Some things arenāt complicated. Iām so tired of the internet romanticizing and supporting wicked women like her.
This is the only possible logical result of the type of moral society we have created
When we believe that motherhood is oppressive, that motherhood kills our dreams, that motherhood is the death of our goals, that abortion is a good righteous action, that it is healthcare, when everything about motherhood and children is painted with a brush of a death of something, it is then no wonder that death is exactly the place where we land.
FYI for anyone visiting Texas....
If they charge for Chips and Salsa, they are NOT a legitimate Mexican restaraunt.
Do not eat there.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Tonight I humbly come before you and pray for peace that surpasses all understanding for everybody who comes across this post as we navigate through endless amounts of horrifying information of abuse against our sweet and innocent children.
Let everything done in the dark be shown in the light.
We are dealing with unfathomable levels of wickedness imparted on the earth from the evil one and I cry out in hopes that you will bring swift judgment against those responsible for these heinous crimes.
I pray for the hearts and minds of those who are in this fight and I pray that you would not let their hearts grow hardened as more truth is revealed about the child sacrifices and rituals taking place throughout our world.
Let us be content no matter the outcome, knowing that you are a good God, working all things for the good of your children who love you and are called according to your purpose. Let us recognize that your ways are not our ways and that justice will be served in your timing not ours.
But Lord if I may request, let your timing for judgment be as fast as the speed of a lightening rod.
I pray for all victims of sexual abuse. I pray for total healing over your mind, body, and soul.
Let your will be done in Jesusā mighty name.
Amen.
In a rapidly declining world, how blessed we are to have the assurance of eternal life in Jesus Christ. Sure, I've seen the headlines. I am well aware of the news of the day...
...but there's something about being anchored in HIM. There's a peace that washes over you when you have placed your full faith in Him.
This world has nothing to offer that's better than what is to come for those who believe on Him and have trusted in Him alone for their salvation. ā¤ļø
Thereās a really good reason most people on the Right prefer to keep their heads down and say nothing as the left seizes control of the country and itās because the left is insanely violent, scary, amoral, and unhinged. Normal people donāt want a toxic mob of braying, rabid leftists who want to kill them up in their faces.
White libs are going to the dark side fast.
Itās nuts when women complain about not having āequal rightsā
And what they mean is they donāt have the right to kill their children.
Men donāt have the right to kill either š¤·š»āāļø
Images of sketchy single and double men purchasing children have many asking, "How did we get here?"
It is the product of three revolutions.
Cultural Revolution: We endlessly repeated #LoveMakesAFamily to sanctify adult sexual choices, reducing a childās own mother and father to optional, even disposable, features of family life.
Technological Revolution: #IVF severed babies from sex. Once children were manufactured in petri dishes, there was no reason to limit reproduction to a mother and father, or implant them in their own mother's womb. Gametes could be mixed, matched, and sold to suit any adult arrangement.
Legal Revolution: #GayMarriage forbade legal distinctions between heterosexual and homosexual couples. Biology and maleāfemale complementarity were rebranded as discrimination, requiring parentage laws to be rewritten so unrelated, unvetted adults could legally acquire children.
If the grim reality facing these children genuinely disturbs you, let your outrage drive you to action. We must all rise up and protect children. That requires confronting and rejecting all three revolutions at once: the cultural lie that adult desire defines family, the technological assumption that children are products to be engineered, and the redefinition of marriage that legally enshrines the fiction that biology and sex are irrelevant to parenthood.
Don't mourn the victims while ignoring the systems that created them.
I watched a woman break down in regret, and it cut deep.
Years ago, a Christian man proposed to her. He told her she didnāt have to grind herself into the ground. She could build a home. Raise children. Be covered. Be protected. Be cherished. She was offended. Feminism told her that offer was an insult⦠that dependence was weakness⦠that partnership was oppression.
She chose the lie.
Years later, the tears came. Not tears of anger⦠tears of realization. She had everything feminism promised and nothing it could sustain. No family legacy. No peace. No covering. Just exhaustion, resentment, and the haunting knowledge that the door she slammed shut never reopened.
This is what liberal feminism never shows women.
It canāt love you.
It canāt protect you.
It canāt age with you.
It canāt hold you when reality finally speaks.
It teaches women to despise the very men willing to sacrifice for them⦠then leaves them alone to explain why fulfillment never arrived.
As a pastor, Iāve seen this story repeat itself over and over. Feminism doesnāt free women⦠it isolates them. It trades covenant for applause, legacy for ego, and then disappears when the bill comes due.
Godās design wasnāt oppression.
It was provision.
And too many women were lied to before they were old enough to see the cost.
That regret I saw wasnāt political.
It was spiritual.
And it was devastating.
