@thosethatcan Two schools I have worked in have all phones handed in to a central store in the morning as pupils arrive then handed back at the end of the day.
@RishiSunak Nearly two billion pounds to spend on building missiles in a different county, bolstering their economy. No money to pay teachers, doctors or nurses a fair wage. No money to support youth mental health services, NHS or education. How can you be proud of this?
@Louiestowell Folkestone. Hour long journey, sand and shingle beaches and plenty of places to eat along the harbour arm. If the sun is shining it is very close to heaven.
@Positivteacha Margate. Got the typical arcades and burger bars on the seafront and some great independent shops behind. Also has Dreamland funfair, complete with roller disco!
@senresourceblog Schools review EHCPs every year. I have worked in special schools for 8 years and none of the EHCPs that I have suggested amendments for has ever been updated by the LA. Schools end up reviewing EHCPs for pupils that are 15 that were written when they were 6.
@misswallsworth1@MrTs_NQTs It took me until the January after I qualified. I had moved to the South West and jobs were hard to come by. I finally secured a post but had to move to Leicestershire to do so.
@Headteacherchat Yes all the time. No reason for it; I have 15 years experience and do know what I'm talking about (most of the time!) Yet I still have the feeling of being rumbled and told I'm not actually doing the job right!
@UnofficialOA I am debating buying 3 pairs of black trousers and 5 tops and being done with the daily 'What shall I wear?' decision making! I would happily wear a school polo shirt with trousers to take away even more thinking!
@DrBradJohnson I honestly think it depends on the headteacher. I used to think this but now work in a school where the head actively encourages staff to find PD courses for themselves. A head that is forward thinking will want staff to develop for the benefit of the school.
