There is no doubt this is where a lot of high paying jobs are. That seems to be changing due to failed policies forcing large and medium size businesses out of California. The local economies are so broken people cant afford to live here. Many stay due to family connections. In my county low income is $111,700 for a single person and $159,550 for a family of four. How man people make way less then that here? There is 0 chance of buying your first house here unless you have family money or hit the lotto. Rent for a 3 bedroom @ 4k is insane. So yeah, people keep coming and people leave. The bubble is starting to burst. The situation is becoming unlivable for many people. But hey, you have the weather..... And yeah its pretty.
@Makoto_Says@LakotaMan1 Are you kidding? Rents are geographic, housing costs are geographic, my utilities are geographic, my state and local taxes are by definition are geographic. California has been run by one party for decades. They own all of California's problems. Youre nuts.
@RepKamlagerDove Im a Californian, I dont care what Trump says. This is not Ok. Something isnt right. We need an audit. If theres no issues, fine. But we need to know the system is working as you say. Not just your words. I personally want proof
Many of your gen got degrees that get you nothing. Or you became software engineers or the like. Those jobs are, and always will be volitile. By the time you graduated, other people chose to go into the trades, or sales positions ect. They were making 100k+ after 4 or so years when you were still in school. If they were smart they were putting money into a retirement fund. Also, this generation loathes capitalism, they want progressive social programs where the government spends your money for you. So when your taxes are equal to your take home and you cant save anything you blame those who didnt live that way in their generation. Housing prices went through the roof because the tech workers who were married and had two incomes of a decent ammount were out there out bidding people selling off their options for down-payments. Paying stupid prices for houses not worth what they were buying them for. So I think there's many factors to the issue, its not all boomers like many people seem to be crying about.
Sadly many of the current gen wont know why. Many wont be able to afford homes. They keep voting for social programs the goverment sells you to the point you've made your socialist utopia. People want to get rid of capitalism for socialism. Well there you go. When your paying the government 50% of your working time, thats what you get.
