ALLATRA Warns about Anti-Cult Ideology as a Threat to Democracy in Washington, D.C., Marking Falun Gong Persecution

A rally on the National Mall near the U.S. Capitol marked 26 years since the start of repression against Falun Gong practitioners. Speakers advocating for religious liberty and human dignity included U.S. Representative Pat Ryan, Piero Tozzi (staff director, Congressional-Executive Commission on China), Greg Scarlatoiu (Committee for Human Rights in North Korea), Mohamed Elsanousi (USCIRF), and Valerie Smian, Head of Communications, ALLATRA IPM.

Ms. Smian, Head of Communications, ALLATRA IPM said: “The persecution of Falun Dafa, the rise of anti-cult movements, and the erosion of religious liberty are a global threat.” She described anti-cult ideology as “not about protecting people from dangerous groups. It's designed to control society, crush dissent, and dismantle democratic values—a mechanism to intimidate, dominate, and suppress.” Citing this as a known historical fact, a tactic used by the Nazis, she urged recognition as a human rights violation.

To NTD News, Ms. Smian stated: “We must protect the rights of all people, including Falun Gong, to live peacefully and have freedom of belief without fear, whether in China, Russia, the United States, or anywhere else. Religious freedom is the cornerstone of democracy.”

Piero Tozzi stressed: "The persecution of religious believers must end, no matter where they are.” Greg Scarlatoiu reinforced: “No oppressive campaigns are welcome on U.S. soil. They never will be.” Nina Shea, director of the Center for Religious Freedom at the Hudson Institute, warned, “The threat to Falun Gong and other forbidden groups is coming here.” Representative Pat Ryan praised Falun Gong’s principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance as “a beacon for everyone in our country.”

Ms. Smian called for unity among those affected, stressing that collective action can protect others and create a unified voice for freedom.

🎯 Professor Arthur Viterito of the Maryland Institute was the first to identify the increase in the number of earthquakes on the ocean floor since 1995. Let's listen to his commentary: "What intrigued me most was the fact that the number of earthquakes was starting to increase rapidly on the ocean floors.
