“I have no sensation in my genitals. My clitoris is completely numb.”
Lauren Friedman, 23, shared her devastating experience with PSSD (Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction) — permanent loss of libido, sensation, and ability to orgasm after taking antidepressants.
Chris Williamson and Isabel Brown reacted with shock, noting how little mainstream coverage this issue receives.
Sexual side effects from SSRIs affect 50-70% of users. For a subset of people, these effects (including genital numbness and anorgasmia) persist long after discontinuation, a condition known as Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction (PSSD). The exact prevalence is unknown, but patient reports and emerging research suggest it may be under-recognized.
People deserve full informed consent about potential long-term risks before starting these medications.
What do you think, should PSSD get more public and medical attention?
@DirtyDemocrat05 I think it’d be good to attach liability to someone who sells in a private transaction to someone who would’ve otherwise failed such a check, but I do think making it universal sweeps up a ton of legitimate transactions and unknowing folks into criminals
Fun fact
There are 36 million Americans of Irish descent and only 5 million people currently living in Ireland.
If your ancestors lived in Ireland in the 1800s, you are 9 times more likely to live in the USA than Ireland.
Wemby is our generations Lafayette. In a time of great need, a French teenager/ young adult came to America and helped lead his new adopted country to victory against tyranny (foul baiting unethical OKC bullshit)
As I’ve noted: every billionaire is retarded. If sh*t hits the fan, Argentinians will just kill him & take his stuff. If you had $20B you should build a compound in Appalachia, subsidize the ~5,000 ppl in town via a make work company that loses $20M/yr
THOSE ppl will defend you
Some guy just won $4.25M in damages because JPMorgan fired him for incorrectly filing an expense submission for a $650 plate of salami
Luckiest guy on earth
A terrifying roller coaster rescue is underway in Galveston, Texas Thursday. A car became stuck on a vertical track, leaving eight people dangling at the very top of the ride. Firefighters are using a long-ladder truck to reach the riders several stories above the ground. Crews are working to remove each rider from the ride by gently catching them and lowering them into the basket at the end of the ladder, before walking them down an incredibly steep structure to safety.
