Development is not measured only through roads, bridges, and infrastructure. It is equally about standing beside citizens in times of need and ensuring that government support reaches those who need it the most.

Over the past few years, through our Jan Sampark Seva Abhiyan and Samasya Seva Samadhan Initiative, we have worked continuously to assist families in accessing healthcare, welfare schemes, and social support.

Key outcomes include:

• ₹1.88 crore in medical assistance secured for 93 patients through the Indian Patients Fund (IPF) and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, helping families navigate some of their most difficult moments.

• Assistance provided to senior citizens and specially-abled citizens in availing various pension and welfare schemes, strengthening access to social security and government support.

• Distribution of 500 free sewing machines through the Swayambhu Foundation, creating opportunities for women to become more self-reliant and financially independent.

• Continuous assistance through the Jan Sampark Office at Ghole Road, where citizens receive guidance on government schemes, documentation support, applications, and access to various welfare initiatives.

Development is not just about creating infrastructure. It is about ensuring that every citizen can access opportunities, support, and the benefits that are rightfully theirs.

Met Hon. Transport Minister Shri Pratap Sarnaik Ji today to discuss key development initiatives for the Chhatrapati Shivajinagar constituency.
The meeting focused on:
• Redevelopment of the Shivajinagar ST Stand
• Planning and implementation related to MahaMetro (MOU)
Shivajinagar is one of Pune’s most critical transport nodes, and the emphasis is on creating modern, efficient, and commuter-friendly infrastructure. We discussed aligning the ST stand redevelopment with MahaMetro to develop an integrated transport hub that improves connectivity and commuter experience.
I have requested that the next steps be expedited, and the Hon. Minister has assured full support in moving these projects forward.
Efforts will continue to ensure early execution and timely completion of these important initiatives.

First Section of Pune University Flyover is Open - Do share your suggestions / inputs.

It's been a day since Raj Bhavan to RBI section of the long-awaited Pune University Multilevel Flyover was opened.
While the full project will take another 3 months to complete, this partial opening is an important step toward easing traffic at Pune’s busiest junction.

Over the next 7 days, I will be closely monitoring traffic flow along this newly opened stretch, staying in constant touch with the traffic department to resolve any challenges.

I also want to hear from you : how can this section be made more convenient for commuters until the full flyover becomes operational?

Your constructive suggestions will go a long way in ensuring smoother travel for everyone.

Together, let’s make this transition more effective for Pune.

Each interaction offered a window into the concerns, challenges, aspirations, and hopes of our community. These conversations are not just feedback they are direction. They strengthen my resolve to serve better, act faster, and keep our constituency and city moving forward with purpose.

Urgent Reforms needed in MSEDCL

Today, in the review meeting I strongly urged MSEDCL (Mahavitaran) to implement immediate and citizen-centric reforms to enhance transparency, safety, and accountability in electricity supply and maintenance operations across Pune.

📍 Advance Notice is a Must
Whether planned or unplanned, maintenance shutdowns must be communicated to citizens in advance via SMS and social media. Sudden outages leave citizens in the dark - literally and figuratively.

📍 No More Shifting Burdens
MSEDCL must stop asking citizens to purchase cables or materials during repairs. If the cable between the DP and meter is damaged, it is MSEDCL's responsibility and not the consumer’s.

📍 Protect Lives, Especially in Monsoon
Transformers and DPs in densely populated areas must be enclosed with protective compounds. Uncovered transformers in monsoon conditions are serious safety hazards.

📍 Act on Critical Infrastructure Issues
- Remove all dead poles without delay
- Conduct an audit of overhead cables and shift them underground
- Expedite approval of Pune’s RDSS scheme proposal submitted to the State Government

These are not mere requests, they are necessities to prevent accidents, ensure reliable service, and safeguard lives.

Grateful to Executive Engineer Nitin Thite and the Shivajinagar MSEDCL team for their positive response to the discussion. I also thank all community leaders and concerned citizens who joined today to push for a safer, smarter Pune.

MP Janasampark Seva Abhiyan - Citizens First!

To listen, understand, and resolve the concerns of citizens from Chhatrapati Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency, a special MP Janasampark Seva Abhiyan was organised in Aundh under the leadership of Hon. Union Minister of State for Cooperation & Civil Aviation and MP of Pune, Shri @mohol_murlidhar ji.

Hundreds of citizens participated, voicing their issues many of which were addressed on the spot. Government schemes were extended to thousands, and clear instructions were given to officials for immediate action.

Today in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, I raised a critical yet often overlooked issue..the growing concern of drug addiction and abuse. I stressed the need for a social audit of drug abuse cases, as many such instances go unreported (criminal) but continue to affect individuals and families across the state.

A structured social audit of drug addiction cases in Maharashtra would allow us to better understand the depth and spread of the problem, identify vulnerable populations, and ensure targeted rehabilitation and awareness efforts.
