FAH (BLA’s) So-Called “QAHAR” Drone Unit was Crushed in Failed H-2 Attempt (Jan 31, 2026)

On January 31, 2026, only three hostile FPV (First-Person View) drones managed to take off.

Two were immediately shot down by Pakistani troops near the compound from which they were launched.

Law enforcement agencies quickly traced the launch site, prevented any further drone activity, and neutralized all five terrorists involved. During the follow-up operation, approximately 20 additional FPV drones were recovered.

The FPV threat was effectively countered without any damage.

Major Wajahat Waheed embraced shahadat.

Intelligence agencies reported the presence of multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Hindustan in the general areas of Shadi Kaur, Tehsil Pasni, District Gwadar, and Jattakabad, District Kalat, posing a threat to the local population. To safeguard the local populace and clear the area of terrorists, Security Forces are conducting operations in these areas.

In the first incident, on 18 October 2026, Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area of Jattakabad, District Kalat. During the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location and, after an intense exchange of fire, four terrorists were Eliminated. A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered.

In the second incident, Security Forces conducted a series of clearance operations in the general area of Shadi Kaur, Tehsil Pasni, District Gwadar. During one of the operations, the lead force component, led by Major Wajahat Waheed (age 34, resident of Lahore), was targeted by an improvised explosive device. Major Wajahat Waheed, a son of the soil, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty and embraced shahadat.

Sanitisation operations will continue to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area. The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of "Azm-e-Istehkam", as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue at full pace. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to eliminating the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

TTP's misadventure of trying to gain ground in Balochistan will be its biggest strategic mistake. The TTP leadership should focus on regaining its lost ground in Waziristan and KPK rather than coming to Balochistan, where it will not be acceptable to anyone.

Airstrikes are an unaffordable military tactic in the long run in any conflict. Pakistan can’t sustain continued airstrikes in Afghanistan and it knows that.
