@YankeesStats Right but the current option gets bad jumps AND lacks the physical tools. He also gets the luxury of only playing CF. I think it's worth a shot sticking with Spencer in CF for a week+ to see if he can handle it, considering the lack of better options at this point in the season.
@CTFrankPepe@torijacobs We’re in 2026. Social media exists and he’s 25. Red Sox fans are embarrassed he single handedly sent them home last year. And also that the Knicks embarrassed and broke up the Celtics. The girl came at him and he has every right to dunk on her
@CTFrankPepe@torijacobs He’s also objectively a good looking dude. 6 foot 5 with green eyes and good hair. Bro would be getting ass in NYC with or without being an elite Yankees pitcher who absolutely owns the city of Boston. Just shows how little Red Sox fans have to try to dunk on a guy who owns them
@A_Katzman83 I mean it's kind of correct, no? They're the only team with legit staying power in the division. Over the larger sample, they're very clearly the best team. This year the Rays have 16!!! more wins than expected
@Jared_Carrabis The Sox bats are hilarious. Cedanne Rafaela’s true talent is one of the worst hitters in the league. Then like 4 other guys who are just completely reliant on lucky BABIP when they’re not playing at Fenway
@pamsson@VaksNYC I guess. But just feels like the contenders around the league all have guys who can go get it in center. It's such an important defensive position that's being ignored by a team that claims to be cutting edge with this stuff
@pamsson@VaksNYC I also think the yanks will continue to run Grish out there in the latest and greatest of self imposed constraints that keep them from reaching their actual potential
@pamsson@VaksNYC For sure. But figure since we're past the deadline we'd talk about the best possible solution out there internally, unless you think Robert is a legit option
@pamsson@VaksNYC He's a whole lot better than Trent Grisham out there, who makes up for his bad jumps and bad speed by also loligagging to every ball. Spencer is rough around the edges, but he at least has the minimum requisite physical tools to play center field in 2026.
@thedr_curtJmil@BryanHoch@Ken_Rosenthal Ridiculous. It's every game a ball that the average CF catches falls in front of him while he loligags to it. With Robert on waivers he should be DFA'd.
@ChrisCoop_ Yeah questions are definitely fair, especially because many of the guys who are experiencing poor or unlucky outcomes are also bad at little things like working at bats, baserunning, or fielding execution
