Bang on @FemiOnDrums@EzraCollective. Safe, supportive youth clubs & community spaces where young people can be themselves and create their music. The very grassroots we've invested in @YouthMusic since 1999. But it's in crisis due to deep cuts since 2010. Needs sorting, urgently
Massive, massive congratulations to @EzraCollective deservedly becoming the FIRST jazz winners of the @MercuryPrize last night. Part of a movement, part of a musical family and fantastic #inspiration for the next generation. All at Warriors so proud. https://t.co/SCKL8YmctZ
A delightful start to the day with our very own singing concert led by the fantastic Sue McCall from @Harrow_Music Thank you to all who were able to join us and to Ms Esmond for supporting singing assemblies @ Glebe this term

Year 5 impressed us all yesterday with their Ghanaian inspired dancing, singing and drumming. Thank you @Harrow_Music for your inspirational music lessons this term! #StTs 🪘🎤🇬🇭
Huge well done to the Year 5 pupils who shared their amazing writing at the #Windrush75 festival at Harrow Arts Centre.
Their writing was inspired by The Windrush Story and our visit from author, @knchimbiri.
Steel Pans!
Made to make up for the absence of tamboo-bamboos, which made up for the ban of Talking Drums. Caribbeans had no access to or could not afford western instruments at the time so they improvised with hammers and metal that once stored oil!

Membership is free, open to musicians aged 12-26 and there are no auditions. Players of non-Western instruments are especially welcome.
The Youth Orchestra (GUYO) meets on the second Sunday of the month from 10am – 1.30pm.

It’s okay to disagree with what you said 5 years ago.
To create a fair workplace we all need to grow.
Disagreeing with your old opinions is part of that growth.
