As soon as Reform proposed using the Navy in the Channel to deal with small boat crossings, most people could see it for what it was - performative, shallow and a disproportionate use of force.

Increasing focus on JP Morgan role in Gianni Infantino’s hastily-abandoned plan to sell off parts of the World Cup. Bankers now getting scrutiny, the latest inspection in the Telegraph today. It’s obviously all about the money for them but surely somebody involved in the process might have mentioned what the inevitable reaction and outcome would be. Humiliation.

Surely somebody had even the faintest knowledge of football, and the emotion it stirs, and that they were not simply toying with a struggling soybean operation somewhere in the Midwest. They were toying with the world’s game, the World Cup. And billions care.

A financial institution staffed with some very intelligent people must have remembered its involvement in the European Super League fiasco. Humiliation. “We clearly misjudged how this deal would be viewed by the wider football community and how it might affect them in the future,” a JP Morgan spokesperson said back in 2021. “We will learn from this.” Clearly not. Next to their boardroom they need a readtheroom.

Step 14: Tell the working class you're one of them. Tell them to vote against their own interests, over and over again.
