The Lafferty story is about to have a new chapter with Harry set to train his first city runner.
Ravenclaw has accepted to run in Race 2 at Caulfield, but will most likely be scratched and contest a race at Sandown on Wednesday July 15.
Harry’s grandad Kevin Lafferty trained over 800 winners during his decorated career highlighted by three Grand Annual Steeplechase winners and two Warrnambool Cup winners.
His father Peter has enjoyed a successful training career and is now assisting Harry with training.
Harry’s twin sister is jockey Laura Lafferty, and he has two older sisters, Elley and Hillary who are involved in his team.
“I have three horses in work and am always on the lookout for more.” Lafferty said.
"I am so grateful to have such wonderful owners, especially Steve Targett who is always the first person I call when we secure a horse.” Lafferty said.
Ravenclaw was purchased online via Inglis Digital for $37,500.
Ravenclaw was initially purchased as a yearling for $220,000 and won three races when trained by Chris Waller.
