@earthkind_me Buddha himself mentioned not to translate his teachings into Sanskrit. The only language the Buddha used was Magadhi (from which Sinhalese originated). That’s why all true and pure versions of the Tripitaka are written in Sinhalese letters. Pali originated in the Sinhalese land.
