Former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleges massive fraud in the ongoing local body elections against the ruling NDA govt led by TDP.
Jagan demands para military forces to be deployed. He adds that today your nomination papers are being snatched way. Tomorrow there will be property papers taken away by Gundas.
N Chandrababu Naidu's methods of overusing state machinery should be questioned & condemned but Jagan must realise that NCBN has got full blessings of Delhi & he will have to fight equally against the BJP as well as the TDP.
The dynamics post 4th June 2024 have changed completely.
The dance of democracy in Andhra Pradesh!
A woman’s nomination papers were snatched from her hands as AP police officers stood by, watching without intervening.
Shocking state of law & order in Andhra Pradesh ! 🚨
Right before the eyes of the police, goons forcibly snatched nomination papers from a woman YSRCP candidate.
Cops stood by as mute spectators doing absolutely nothing.
Who is paying their salaries ? Why aren't these negligent officers suspended immediately for failing to protect a woman and democracy itself ?

Hello Lokesh! @naralokesh@JaiTDP Let's play a simple YES or NO game. If you have the courage, accept this challenge!
Question 1:Is the person seen snatching and tearing nomination papers in Penukonda a TDP leader or activist?
YES or NO?
Question 2:Did he snatch and tear the nomination papers of a YSRCP candidate right in front of the Returning Officer and police?
YES or NO?
Question 3: Is it true that no criminal case has been registered against him despite this incident?
YES or NO?
Just three simple questions, Lokesh! No lengthy speeches, no excuses, no diversion. Only YES or NO!
I dare you to answer all three.
Let's see whether you have the courage to face these questions or prefer to remain silent.
Your turn, Lokesh. Three questions. Three answers. Is that too difficult?
Yeah right! "Democracy in Andhra Pradesh is alive and thriving" @naralokesh 👏🏼👏🏼
Here's a live example. While YSRCP MPTC candidates were submitting their nomination papers for Local Body Elections to the election officer, TDP leader entered the election officer's room, snatches nomination forms from the hands of the returning officer and discards them.
*Democracy in Andhra Pradesh is alive and thriving.*
This is the situation in AP, before nominations the Police allegedly prevented most opposition council candidates from filing their nominations, clearing the way for ruling party candidates to be declared elected unopposed. They have stopped most opposition council candidates from filing their nominations.
Andhra Pradesh today witnessed a brutal attack on democracy under @ncbn's coalition government. On the first day of municipal nominations, YSRCP candidates faced attacks, death threats and attempts to stop them from filing nominations. Vehicles were burnt and nomination papers snatched and torn. Police remained mere spectators, in some cases party to the crime as well, dancing to Naidu's tunes instead of maintaining law and order and upholding the Constitution.
I strongly condemn the murder attempt on YSRCP Lok Sabha Floor Leader and Rajampet MP, P. V. Midhun Reddy in Punganur. TDP workers attacked his convoy, which had gone there to file the nominations, with stones, sticks and iron rods, injured his CRPF security staff, damaged vehicles and blocked our candidates from filing nominations while police watched all this in the premises of the nomination filing centre. Even after this, officials did not accept their nomination papers despite making them wait for over three hours. If our Lok Sabha Floor Leader is unsafe, what protection can ordinary people expect?
In Rayachoti, our candidates were threatened not to file nominations. When they proceeded despite these threats, TDP workers attacked former MLA Srikanth Reddy's office, set it and vehicles on fire, and injured our workers. Instead of registering cases against those responsible and protecting our candidates, police ordered our workers to leave our party office, where they had gathered to select candidates and prepare nomination papers, while it is our own party office that was set on fire while police remained mute spectators.
In Tirupati, a woman candidate's papers were snatched and torn, and our leaders were attacked. In Dharmavaram, candidates were attacked and their papers snatched in police presence. In Kadapa, our 30th Division candidate was
obstructed, and papers submitted to the Returning Officer were snatched and torn. Yet no case was registered and no action was taken against them. This shameful inaction gives TDP workers a free hand to obstruct elections in full public view. In Dachepalli, police planted liquor and forcibly detained our Nagar Panchayat chairman candidate to prevent him from filing his nomination.
Chandrababu Naidu must understand that government machinery is not his party's property. Violence cannot give the TDP the public confidence it has lost. Every attack strengthens our resolve to stand with the people and defend their democratic rights.
I stand firmly with every YSRCP worker. We will not surrender to threats or abandon our democratic fight. Every incident must be investigated, every attacker held accountable, and every officer who enabled this violence made answerable.
The SEC must intervene immediately, ensure that all affected candidates can file nominations, and secure the deployment of Central forces. Candidates must be able to contest without fear, and people must be free to choose their representatives.
Centralised or transparent and safe online nominations should be made available. Proper CCTV live footage should be put in place in polling stations. CCTV live footage should be placed in all strong rooms to prevent tampering of ballot boxes. CCTV live footage should be in place in all counting stations to ensure proper verification of the signatures on ballot paper account and to monitor the counting process in the counting stations. Central government forces (Paramilitary forces) should be brought in to ensure that free and fair elections are conducted.
