This is also happening in intercompany transfers L1 A and L 2 visas. I personally know one case. A guy from Citi Bank India moved to Citi Bank New York to work as a Sr Vice President - Compliance in Citi Bank, NY. after four months his wife arrived in NY to work in a French Bank to work as a Human Resources Business Partner on L2 visa. Why Citi Bank NY branch needs an Indian to work in a US Bank in a critical Compliance role? Same way why am I fian woman is needed to work in the US ( in French Bank) to work as a HR business partner? My visa name numbers may not be correct. But this is happening in big way specially in banks

In 2013, Indian IT companies were spending heavily to lobby the U.S. government as Congress considered making H-1B visas more expensive and restrictive.

Back then:

Wipro: $240,000 through July
Cognizant: $520,000 in seven months
TCS: $30,000
NASSCOM: ~$30,000 in Q1 alone

NASSCOM even hired Washington lobbyists, PR firms and lawyers to fight provisions affecting Indian IT companies.

Fast-forward to 2024:

Cognizant: $2 MILLION
TCS: $1.04 MILLION
Infosys: $360,000
NASSCOM: $360,000

Their lobbying disclosures continued to include H-1B and other employment-visa issues.

But forget the lobbying numbers for a second.

This is the sentence that stopped me.

The Times of India explained that if work visas became harder to obtain, Indian IT companies could be forced to:

“hire many more local Americans, which would be expensive”

or move more work offshore.

Read that again.

Hiring Americans wasn’t described as impossible.

It was described as expensive.

And this wasn’t written by an H-1B critic.

It was published in India 13 years ago.

Today we’re constantly told H-1B is about the “best and brightest” and hiring the “most qualified” worker.

So here’s the question:

If Americans were simply less qualified, why was hiring them described as more expensive?

And after another 13 years of lobbying Washington:

How much has this industry spent trying to shape America’s immigration and labor policy?

Go tell your Prime Minister Mr. Modi to build just one city like Norway,
where people get these facilities:

- Corruption-free
- Pollution-free
- Food free from adulteration
- Best quality roads and flyovers
- Best quality education with no paper leaks
- Proper treatment in hospitals without medical mafia loot
- At least basic facilities for common people

It’s okay if he does not hold press conferences, because if he does, the public will definitely ask all these questions.

Now talk about Delhi, the capital of India.

India has a population of 1.3 billion,

and was once considered one of the world’s most developed civilizations.

In the capital city Delhi:

- Are people getting clean air?
- Are people getting food without adulteration?
- Are the roads good?
- Has corruption ended?
- Are people getting proper treatment in hospitals?

If all these things are not happening,
then what has Prime Minister Modi been doing for the last 12 years?

He has not even made his own capital an example for the world.

Delhi’s pollution is famous around the world.

Many people say that population does not allow India to progress. In fact, if there is a right leadership, then by using population as a weapon, it can become the number one country in the world, which will be the safest country in the world.

Where corruption, pollution, medical mafia, top exam Exam paper leak can never happen.
