Lalbaugcha Raja 🙏
Devotees in Mumbai are being pushed and shoved despite standing in line since last night, with some waiting for 15–16 hours just for a proper darshan.
If you were a VIP, you could have had a comfortable darshan right from the front. But an ordinary bhakt has to go through this?
Faith should not come at the cost of dignity.
I am not targeting anyone, I am simply asking a question: Can’t we give that bhakt just 15 seconds for a proper darshan?
Drove over both WEH and EEH today. Calling them "highways" is the biggest joke in Mumbai.
Surprise deep potholes, non-existent lane markings, zero reflectors, and a surface that feels like off-roading.
How is a megapolis paying this much tax and getting road conditions this pathetic?
@Carra23 - you missed an important point - Key difference is that Arteta wants normal treatment for Arsenal while Ferguson wanted and got preferential treatment from refs
Jamie Carragher: “This was Mikel Arteta becoming the Alex Ferguson of the Premier League right now. He’s the don, he’s the champion. It’ll be interesting to see how long it takes another referee to give a penalty against Arsenal.” 😅👀

Happy to report that in Pune, the DJ/DT loudspeaker ecosystem has not quite managed to drown out the voices that actually make Ganpati festival what it is … simple soulful music.
One episode from Ramcharitmanas has always fascinated me.
During the war, Meghnad binds Shri Rama and Lakshmana with Nagpash.
Garuda comes and frees them, but afterwards a doubt enters his mind: if Rama is truly the Supreme, how could He Himself be bound?
That doubt becomes moha.
Garuda first goes to Narada, then to Brahma, then to Shiva. Finally, Shiva sends him to Kakabhushundi.
Kakabhushundi then tells Garuda about his own experience of Maya.
During Rama’s childhood, he once entered the mouth of Shri Rama and saw countless universes inside Him.
Different worlds, different Brahmas, Vishnus, Shivas, beings and creations.
He says that in each brahmanda he remained for a hundred years.
Yet when he came out, only about one muhurta (48 mins) had passed outside.
Just think about the idea being expressed here. A being experiences enormous stretches of time across countless worlds, while almost no time passes outside that experience.
Much later, Einstein’s relativity showed the world that time is not absolute, that different observers can experience different elapsed time depending on conditions.
I am not saying Tulsidas was writing Einstein’s equations.
The deeper point is that our texts were already comfortable with ideas like multiple universes, different scales of time, limits of perception, and the inability of even an intelligent being like Garuda to understand reality completely.
That is also the meaning of Maya.
Maya does not always mean seeing something unreal. Sometimes it means seeing one part of reality and assuming that what you saw is the whole of it.

Just hang out with the kids of politicians from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra in particular and you will realise where this nation’s money goes to.
Incredible wealth, absolutely unimaginable, even the richest people in western countries do not live the life they do.
We have normalised it and let them get away with it, their money makes us their slaves in a way.
The road of their ward will be like a bombed street in Syria but just a few meters away their houses will fail the White House in grandeur.
They don’t care if cities stink, if potholes kill people, if sewage flows on the road, their job after getting elected is loot money and attend weddings and events in 20+ car convoys.
Until these looting termites are brought to justice from the ground level ( across party lines ) this nation will remain a backward, slave and a hopeless nation.
India’s Municipal corruption is unchecked.
It’s a pity that an entity that affects the quality of our lives the most. There has been barely any effort from the Modi govt to reform this body. Every monsoon this claims 100s of lives. This petty corruption. Nauseating.
Lee Kuan Yew did not wipe corruption out of the human heart. He made it rare, dangerous, and shameful at every level that mattered. That is different from a magic clean society. It is a system.
He started with himself. When well wishers sent gifts after he took office, he refused them. A gift, he said, is how the rot begins. Ministers and civil servants were put under the same rule. Accept a present and you pay its value or it is taken and sold.
He gave the graft agency real teeth. The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau could look at anyone, including a minister. If a prime minister blocked a probe, the director could go to the President.
Living far above your salary could itself be used as evidence. The law was written so the officers hunting graft had more power than the people they were hunting.
He paid honest people enough to stay honest. Cheap officials steal. Able people were given serious pay so they did not need a suitcase from a contractor. Then he still punished those who took money.
He changed the public story. Schools, campaigns, and newspapers treated the bribe as a stain, not as cleverness. In many countries the big thief is admired. In Singapore he was meant to be ruined.
He also built dull, strict systems. Every file, tender, and audit had to be in order. Civil servants were expected to refuse a bad request, even from someone powerful.
Watching only works if the leader is ready to act against his own team. Lee Kuan Yew was ready.
What he did not do is preach only. He combined example, pay, law, fear, and disgrace. Remove any one of those and the system weakens.
Corruption never really dies. It waits for a weak year and a friend who is too big to touch.
Singapore stayed clean because the men at the top were willing to punish their own. That is the part most countries refuse to do.
I dare any Santhani to go to Chittorgarh Fort with a good guide, visit all the temples and see the place where Jauhar happened.
I dare, dare you to stay dry eyed.
When you touch a hot tava for 1 nano second your finger goes to your mouth of a pale of water.
These women burnt for 7 minutes. Repeat 7 minutes.
I will not say anything about this woman who spoke about Jauhar.
I worked there for 14 yrs. In last 40 yrs, capacity has gone up 10 times.
But still over crowded.

Dollars in, rupees not out!
Sebi and IFSCA are easing rules for Indian companies to raise foreign capital in GIFT.
Foreign money, welcome!
PM asks Indians to skip foreign holidays and stop buying gold.
Indian money, stay home!
That's an old playbook.
The question is whether it works.
You cannot ask global investors to trust your markets while telling your own citizens their savings belong to the country. Capital takes note of which way the door swings.
Not only foreign investors, but foreign tourists are also shunning India.
No, this is not a conspiracy against India. Pls come out of this mindset.
Investors go where they see genuine growth.
Tourists go where they see value for money, cleanliness, hygeine, and basic corruption free services.
And I am not an anti national to point this out.
Instead of going up, our foreign tourist arrival is even below the 2014 levels.
With a country as diverse and culturally rich as India, we should be ashamed of the lost potential.
China is putting scientists on giant screens in public places.
In India, our hoardings are dominated by politicians and film stars.
What we celebrate shapes what our children aspire to become. Why not put our scientists, teachers, doctors, innovators and nation-builders up there?
Just in case ministers & officials at Mantralaya/Vidhan Bhavan don’t know who they are, netas plaster Madam Cama road with their faces. But no; judges don’t notice this defacement on their way to work despite so many judgements against illegal hoardings!! @mybmc
Tell me mi lords, won’t your family eat here unless we have someone like @Tukaram_IndIAS to tell us what is happening? How many agree that we need the clean up started in Maharashtra to go national?? #WeStandWithTukaramMundhe
