> competes to get a good college for engg.
> tops engineering
> gives GRE
> gives IELTS/TOEFL
> applies to universities in USA
> receives i20
> spends $50k-$80k to get a masters
> graduates with master’s degree
> starts working any job they get
> meanwhile looks for better role
> takes 3-8 months to get a better job
> misses family functions, friends wedding
> studies and works all day everyday
> no money to date, have any personal life
> applies 1000 jobs
> secures 3-5 offers
> does OPT paperwork
> supports family in India
> applies for H1B visa
> denied 2 times
> gets visa on golden/final attempt
> does paperwork for H1B
> cannot travel out of USA for 10 months
> goes to stamp H1B in India
> comes back
> works hard
> gets promoted
> increases salary
> again time for H1B renewal
> does paperwork again
> files Green Card but line is 126 years
> many years abroad so cannot live in India
> decides to keep continuing H1B renewal
> deals with office politics, PIP, promotion
> misses funerals of relatives
> misses family support & friends
> struggles alone for the most part
> only contributes to society in India & US
> builds a better life for future family
> invests, learns, gets smarter
> studies & interviews again
> gets into FAANG
> helps others to come up
> opens twitter
> Americans hate Indians
> gets called curry people, stinky, cheap labor
> Indians who couldn’t get out of India hate them because of envy and resentment
> hears they want to eliminate H1B program
> frustrated, upset, sad, unwanted & low all the time
> grinds away anyway coz cannot shoot anyone because on H1B
> cannot have own company because on H1B
> cannot do anything else because on H1B
> works 15 more years
> hopes his kid has better life
> dies
