🚨🇵🇸 Several Palestinian flags are planned to be waved by Liverpool supporters against Nottingham Forest today.

Against Toulouse in the Europa League this week, several people who had Palestinian flags were removed from the stadium by Anfield security.

In order to protest against these decisions, members of the Liverpool Kop will organise a large distribution of flags.

Football will always have politics involved. Liverpool as a club and city have always expressed their beliefs in the stands. Whether we agree with this or not is open to healthy debate.

We sing about the Tories, waved the Ukrainian flag, and supported LGBTQ rights. But now when fans want to show their support for the innocent, we seemingly pick and choose and say no. Either you allow political statements to be made or you don’t.

You can’t be political one day, and apolitical the next day. And you can’t sit on the fence. Fans should be allowed to express their opinions. It’s something we’ve done for decades.

Palestine is in the hearts of so many fans. Yea there are people who will have the same feelings for Israel and I have no issues with that. But don’t try to silence us as we speak out for those who are oppressed and have no voice of their own.

We have a banner on the KOP which reads “we fight the fight for liverpool” it’s time we fight the fight for the oppressed.
