conservation biologist, PhD Candidate @RESLudel. Working to create synergy between science, humans, and policy to protect last remaining large carnivores.
@ishaantharoor What I can see from the total voting, that Dems lost about 15 million votes comparing 2020, and GOP only 3. How do you explain this disenfranchisement? I would think Gaza is partly responsible coupled with economy, Ukraine, and love relation with the neocons.
@LoeskeKruuk I would quote his lines from page 194 to all of my colleagues, "People don't often watch animal behaviour in the field anymore....I get my thrills from watching, from getting ideas and hypothesis by looking through my binoculars".
@LoeskeKruuk Thanks @RichardDawkins for the recommendation, just finished the book last night. It's indeed fascinating. Reading about the hyenas of Serengeti and Kalahari was great, but the Thai experience was the most closest to me. What a life and what a book! Respect!
Congratulations to lab member @AriTheEcologist on her successful thesis defense seminar! Her master’s research focuses on dispersal barriers and expansion challenges of bobcats in New Jersey. We are excited to see you continue in carnivore ecology research!
Our new paper on mammals in Northeast Bangladesh, we applied hierarchical MSOM to asses their state in the region from four reserve forests.

@samanthaiam Even if you have the larger sample size do those of Amur tigers weight crossed over 212 kgs? I was having an email discussion with Jon and Dale Miquelle both still stick to the findings I showed.
