I hold a first class bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria, where I rank in the Top 1% of my graduation class. I have an excellent background in Chemical Reaction Engineering, Kinetics and Thermodynamics.

My bachelors thesis investigated the use of local clay as absorbent for emerging pharmaceutical contaminants in wastewater. I used equipment such as XRD, SEM and EDX to analyse the structural properties and surface chemistry of the modified clay material. The developed absorbent showed a good promise (80% efficiency) in removing contaminant like Diclofenac-Na. I presented the results in two national conferences with a manuscript under preparation.

My immediate goal is to take up a research masters position leading to a PhD. I am interested in the development of advanced functional materials for environmental and/or energy related applications. I believe your lab research work perfectly aligns with my graduate research interest.
