If in fact as a result of these negotiations to end the Iranian conflict, our Arab and Muslim allies in the region agreed to join the Abraham Accords, it would make this agreement one of the most consequential in the history of the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Pakistan joining the Abraham Accords would be beyond transformative for the region and world. It is a brilliant move by President Trump.
To Saudi Arabia and others: Now is the time to be bold for the future of a new Middle East. I expect, as President Trump has suggested, you will in fact join the Abraham Accords effectively ending the Arab-Israeli conflict. If you refuse to go down this path as suggested by President Trump, it will have severe repercussions for our future relationships and make this peace proposal unacceptable. Further, it would be seen by history as a major miscalculation.
President Trump: Stick to your guns in getting a good deal with Iran. Equally important, stick to your guns in insisting Saudi Arabia and others join the Abraham Accords as part of these negotiations.
Again, this is a brilliant proposal by President Trump.
@mosalamandani Debates are for the audience, always keep the audience in mind and prove your argument to them as you will probably not convince those in the opposition to change their opinion.
For two consecutive nights, 35 Somali citizens have been stranded and humiliated at #Cairo International Airport in #Egypt.
Despite travelling legally with valid visas, they were reportedly subjected to inhumane treatment, had their passports confiscated, and were denied both entry and the right to return home.
The degrading treatment Somali travellers face at the hands of Egyptian authorities is unacceptable.
No Somali citizen deserves such humiliation.
Somalia & Egypt are supposedly allies. This isn’t acceptable.
Where is the Somali Embassy @SomaliainEgypt@MOFASomalia ?
They found Fetterman’s AIPAC handler, it is so weird. I wonder what they have on him that they’re blackmailing him with beyond the money.
Great piece by NY Magazine
While the rest of his party reluctantly retreats from an ironclad allyship with Israel, Pennsylvania senator John Fetterman's political identity is increasingly defined by a blanket defense of the country. Online, Fetterman frequently mocks critics of Israel. In interviews, he has pushed back on claims that Israel’s actions in Gaza constitute genocide. By Democratic Party standards, Fetterman’s position on Israel is extreme. There are a multitude of theories as to why. But people close to Fetterman cite a previously unreported factor: Behind the scenes, Fetterman is being encouraged and counseled by a little-known man in his late 30s named David “Dovi” Safier.
Safier, a writer of Jewish history and fundraiser for Orthodox causes, has no public background in government or counseling politicians on Capitol Hill. He is not an official staffer or paid outside adviser. A few years ago, he “just kind of appeared” in the senator’s orbit, one former Fetterman staffer remembers. And then, suddenly, he seemed to be everywhere.
Staffers would walk into Fetterman’s office, only to find Safier sitting in the room. The two are constantly texting and talking, according to multiple former Fetterman staffers, and Safier has unofficially operated as a top campaign fundraiser and senior adviser. He has even set up and attended sensitive meetings with foreign officials; in some cases, he is the only person staffing those meetings.
Read Alex Shultz’s full report on how Safier has become arguably the senator’s closest confidant, as Fetterman isolates himself from many of colleagues and members of his his own party: https://t.co/CHwUYustcQ
The fact that Thomas Massie is fighting for his political life in a Republican primary because he wants pedophiles to face justice is not a good look for the Republican party.
This should be recognized for what it is: a terrorist attack rooted in Islamophobia. Anti-Muslim propaganda radicalized these teens into carrying out this atrocity. May Allah have mercy on the victims and preserve San Diego’s Muslim community. Āmīn.
