Presided over by CS Hon. Geoffrey Ruku (Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes), we attended the official opening of the 2026 Africa Public Service Day celebrations at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Held under the theme, 'Enhancing Public Sector Institutions and Empowering Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships to Achieve Universal Water Availability and Safe Sanitation by 2063', the celebrations provide an important platform for reflecting on the role of public institutions in driving sustainable development and improving service delivery.
We underscored the importance of evidence-based planning, data-driven decision-making and strengthened partnerships in advancing our development agenda and the aspirations of the African Union Agenda 2063.
Members of the public are encouraged to visit the KICC grounds during the two-day event to access a wide range of integrated government services, including assistance with National Identity Card replacement, birth certificate registration, unclaimed financial assets, higher education financing, Social Health Authority (SHA) services and other essential public services available under one roof.

PS WAGUNDA HOSTS OFFICIALS FROM AGRO-CHEMICAL AND FOOD COMPANY
The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today hosted a delegation from Agro-Chemical and Food Company (ACFC) Limited led by the Resident Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Ashok Agrawal who paid him a courtesy visit at the Treasury Building.
Mr. Agrawal briefed the PS on ACFC Limited which specialises in the production of a variety of products ranging from pharmaceuticals, surgical spirit, sanitizers, yeast and ethyl alcohol.
ACFC Limited has been classified as a Government-Owned Enterprise (GOE) following the creation of GOE Act of 2025.
The PS acknowledged the significant role the Company plays in value addition, creation of employment in the entire supply chain and promotion of local products.
The PS affirmed his continued support to enable the company continue realising its mandate of producing world class and quality products through cost effective, innovative and environmentally friendly technologies.

FCPA John Mbadi (National Treasury and Economic Planning) to the Parliament Buildings, Nairobi, for the presentation of the 2026/27 National Budget, a key policy instrument that sets out the Government's expenditure priorities, revenue measures and economic strategy for the coming financial year.
Driven by the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), the budget seeks to accelerate inclusive and sustainable growth by directing resources towards sectors that have the greatest impact on livelihoods, job creation, enterprise development, food security, healthcare, affordable housing, digital transformation and infrastructure expansion.
It also reinforces fiscal sustainability while supporting investments that enhance productivity and unlock economic opportunities across the country.
Through strategic public investments and targeted reforms, the 2026/27 Budget is designed to sustain economic momentum, improve service delivery and advance Kenya's long-term development aspirations under Vision 2030 and BETA.
As we continue to invest in human capital development, it is important that we support initiatives that identify and nurture talent while creating opportunities for young people to excel.
In support of the ongoing Nambale Sub-County Secondary Schools Term II Championships, I have donated seven trophies to be awarded during the tournament that ends tomorrow, 13th June 2026.

Enhancing productivity remains central to our economic transformation and sustainable growth under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA). This requires stronger alignment between planning, budgeting and implementation to maximize outcomes across key sectors of the economy.
Joined the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) team for a preparatory meeting ahead of the Productivity Conference scheduled for 17th–19th June 2026.
During the conference, I will present a paper on Transforming Kenya's Productivity through Strategic Economic Planning and Economic Intelligence, highlighting the role of evidence-based planning in driving productivity, competitiveness and inclusive growth.
Present during the preparatory meeting were commissioners Geoffrey Apollo Omondi, Mr. Leonid Ashindu from the SRC, Dr. Jacob Mbijiwe, Secretary, Human Resource Service at the Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development among other senior Government officials.
PS WAGUNDA MEETS FORMER NHIF STAFF
The Principal Secretary for Public Investments and Assets Management (PIAM) Mr. Cyrell Wagunda today hosted former staff of the defunct National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) for a courtesy call at Treasury Building, Nairobi.
The meeting convened by the Head of Human Resource Management and Development at PIAM Mr. Gad Etyang was aimed at introducing the staff to the PS following their recent deployment to various departments within the State Department among them; the Public Procurement Department (PPD) and Government Investments and Public Enterprise (GIPE).
The PS expressed his gratitude in having them on board urging them to put their best foot forward in serving the government and by extension, the people of Kenya.
Senior officials present were; Secretary of Administration Dr. Bahati Mwita, Director of PPD Mr. Eric Korir alongside others.
