Deputy Gov Hamzat says rent shouldn't exceed 40% of income, but on ₦75k-85k minimum wage, 40% is ₦400k/year which is insufficient for rent anywhere in Lagos.

Rent prices need to be regulated as opposed to asking Lagosians to manage.
