I read a post today saying that Neha Bora is an example of how even when a woman is well-versed and articulate people still reduce her to her looks.
Maybe y’all could have at least said that she’s speaking up for the people and is one of the most articulate and well-spoken voices when it comes to political issues.
What is this objectification?
"But to put down civil disobedience is to attempt to imprison conscience. Civil disobedience can only lead to strength and purity. A civil resister never uses arms and hence he is harmless to a State that is at all willing to listen to the voice of public opinion.
He is dangerous for an autocratic State, for he brings about its fall by engaging public opinion upon the matter for which he resists the state. Civil disobedience therefore becomes a sacred duty when the State has become lawless, or which is the same thing, corrupt."

Each time an unsuspecting 10y/o girl is stared down in public by a man, touched inappropriately, asked to cover her body in front of family, she feels rage at a system that by design commodifies her body and oppresses her forever.
Going down the incel path is certainly a choice.
अगर निर्भया के समय मनमोहन सिंह किसी भजन इवेंट में जाकर आंखे बंदकर मंजीरा बजा रहे होते तो हमें कैसा लगता❓
अब हमें अब वैसा लगना बंद हो गया है...

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi shared a video with a simple message: “Stop punishing women for the crimes committed against them.”
Instagram has now restricted the video, citing the Modi Govt’s IT regulations.
Since when did standing in solidarity with women become a crime?
If a judge isnt able to deliver justice on time. 2000 per day must be added to their electricity bill too?
Fair enough?
Because justice delayed is justice denied.
When I was being cross-examined by my stalker's defence lawyer in court, he pulled out a dictionary, pointed to the word "harassment" and asked me to read its meaning aloud. I refused.
He then picked one of the dozens of messages my stalker had sent me and asked what exactly was abusive about it. When I asked, "Isn't that abusive language?", the judge reprimanded me for asking questions back. The lawyer, I was told, was merely doing his job.
At one point, the defence lawyer read aloud one of my stalker's disgusting messages. The judge remarked, "oh, our accused is a budding poet," and proceeded to laugh, along with the defence lawyer and a few others in the courtroom.
Procedure is punishment. If a survivor even musters the courage to fight back, the system will make sure she regrets it, questions herself and second-guesses her decision to seek justice every step of the way.
She is made to relive her trauma, defend her dignity, justify her fear and prove, over and over again, that what happened to her was wrong.
The perpetrator gets a defence. The survivor gets put on trial.
Men enable men. And patriarchy has ensured that men occupy most of the positions from which women's experiences are questioned, minimised and dismissed.
We keep getting asked why women don't report sexual violence and harassment. Why we don't fight back. Why we withdraw complaints. Why we choose silence. They are in denial about what we are put through when we do.
Supreme Court and Election Commision together are creating different classes of voters - VIP voters versus ordinary voters in SIR deletions list. Now SC Chief justice is discriminating between the by election voter and full assembly elections voter! We are becoming a joke!
