Even if the government decides to reopen gulper shark fisheries, considering the current living standards in the Maldives and the shortage of fishermen to sustain even our traditional fishing industry, it’s highly unlikely that Maldivians will engage in shark fishing again.

Just to be clear, it is my opinion that our development concept of destroying our ecosystem, which doesn’t benefit us sustainably, is NOT JUST A MERE ISSUE WITH THIS OR ANY GOV, but rather with US too as the people who demand it, blindly and selfishly.
So using it to hurl slangs at the incumbent is not getting us anywhere tbh.
