Great first day at @UNCoTeamCamp today! One of the most fun days I’ve had in awhile. Got to see some coach friends from Denver and some players I’ve had the honor to work with.
We also got 4 Greeley Central teams in and they’re all competing well! What a great day of basketball
My car is always full of kids going to club games and practices. One of the biggest disappointments coaching where I currently am is seeing how many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc from other teams are there and I’d be lucky to see at least one set of parents
If a kid has to call a coach for a ride to practice because the adults in his life won't take him, we've already identified the biggest obstacle to that kid's success—and it isn't the kid.
The “I don’t care” era needs to die.
That’s why this from Wemby goes hard.
He admitted he had to tap into anger and jealousy.
Real competitors care.
The difference is they don’t let emotions control them.
They use them as fuel.
Caring > pretending
8th grade tournament
Won our first game 68-16
Second game we playing a team with kids that got full beards and a lot bigger than us
Only lose by 4
They play a back to back after our game and I turn around and see they got guys that actually looks like 8th graders out there😹
Excited for @UNCoTeamCamp this upcoming Thursday-Saturday. It’s dope to see a bunch of the top talent in the state and surrounding states come together to compete and build with their hs teams in Greeley! When I’m not coaching I’m looking forward to seeing some good basketball.
Bro summer basketball is getting goofier and goofier! They got a coach at this game im at, who coached in some Kobe’s after the game took his shoes off, put on slides and had ice on his knees! I’m done!
A good high school basketball team doesn't need 5 scorers.
It needs a floor general, a lockdown defender, and somebody who knows their job is to rebound everything in sight.
Roles win games. Superstars are built out of teams that commit to those roles.
College Coaches that have reached out to me regarding our student athletes, here is our Tru 16U schedule. Appreciate you all for reaching out. See you there. #3SSB#Adidasbasketball#TruColorado

“Played up on our 17U group today. We're down some guys, so I brought him over. He's our one of our key guys on that 14U group.”
“He shoots well. He can get downhill. He's very athletic for an 8th grader.”
Tray stepped up big today being a spark off the bench for our 17u group’s 65-27 victory! As an 8th grader, he came in calm, cool, and collected scoring 8 points and a highlight reel worthy block. Tray is going to be a problem for years to come in Colorado!

I don’t get to spend a lot of time w Denver guys but I’ve been fortunate to get to spend a lot of time with Darian on and off the court. Darian is the type of kid you want in your program. He is a winner and plays a winning brand of basketball! Looking forward to his growth
