ACL injuries are a common trend in sports. There are multiple ways to become more resilient to these types of injuries, such as teaching landing mechanics, jumps w/ perturbations, SL training, etc. An overlooked area is VMO strength. Here is our banded TKE progression.

Speed-based football isn't about being soft. It's also not an absence of strength. It's recognizing there is more to building an athlete than their number in the squat rack. We had 19 guys squat 300+, 16 guys clean 205+, and 15 guys sub 5.00 this year. Athletes not powerlifters.
